Wellness Matters Program

Inclusive First Aid/CPR/AED

Offered by Dr. Kelle Murphy, Center on Disability Studies, UHM

Receive American Heart Association certification in First Aid/CPR/AED

Eligibility: Disability community- open to individuals with I/DD including family members and caregivers.

When: Upcoming Session on August 4 and 6- 9:00-12:00 noon
*Participants must attend both classes to receive certification. Day 1- First Aid; Day 2- CPR/AED

Where: Center on Disability Studies Library University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, 1410 Lower Campus Rd , Honolulu, HI 96822

Cost: $20.94 per person. Limited to the first six participants.

The TEL TED Early Language Screening and Intervention program is being offered to keiki in the community in the Nanakuli Waianae Complex.

We are projected to offer Screening mid May/June and plan to have the program running from May to July at the Community Learning Center, Maili from 3pm to 4pm 3 times a week.

Feel free to share the flyer with families and encourage them to register using the QR code or links provided. Should you prefer physical registration forms feel free to let me know and I can provide some.
I understand that it is easier for some families to utilize a physical form.

The Kauai Children with Special Health Needs Program will be having a Family Get Together on Wednesday June 10, 2026, at Lydgate Beach Park-large pavilion that was rescheduled from the Kona low storms in March.
This is a great opportunity for parents of children with health needs, intellectual or developmental disabilities to get together and network. We will have resources, light lunch and activities for children and the parents to participate in. Please share this with any families who have a child with a special health need/DD/ID ages 0-21.
