There is a space between “I can manage this on my own” and “I need a higher level of care.”

That space deserves support.

Our Online Intensive Outpatient Program was built for adults who need more structure than weekly therapy, but still need to keep living their lives — working, parenting, studying, healing, showing up.

IOP gives you a steady rhythm of care: three days a week, guided therapeutic support, and a team that helps you build skills you can carry into the rest of your week, month, and life.

You do not have to wait until things fall apart to ask for more support.

Healing can happen before crisis.
Healing can happen with structure.
Healing can happen from wherever you are in Hawaiʻi.

Referrals are welcome, but never required. Self-referrals are accepted.

Ready when you are.

Mental health and substance use often overlap in real life.

Depression can make alcohol feel like relief. Anxiety can make substances feel like control. Trauma can make avoidance feel safer than healing. And when someone is trying to recover while also carrying mood symptoms, panic, grief, shame, or instability, treating only one side of the picture can leave the other side pulling them backward.

That is why integrated care matters.

At Wellness Partners Mental Health, our co-occurring care brings mental health treatment and substance use recovery support into one coordinated plan. Our licensed therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and group facilitators work together so clients are not passed between disconnected systems or asked to repeat their story over and over again.

Support may include therapy, skill-building groups, relapse prevention planning, emotional regulation strategies, and care coordination. The goal is not judgment. The goal is clarity, stability, connection, and a realistic path forward.

Recovery is not always linear. Progress may include setbacks, adjustments, and hard conversations. But people deserve care that stays coordinated, compassionate, and grounded in the full reality of what they are experiencing.

Mental health and substance use can be treated together.

Two conditions. One team. One path forward.

Not every healing journey fits into a once-a-week appointment. Sometimes progress needs more structure, more support, and a care team that can hold the full shape of what someone is working through.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program is designed for adults who need a higher level of care without inpatient hospitalization. We offer support for two adult groups: those seeking treatment for mental health concerns, and those navigating substance use alongside mental health needs. A typical day may include grounding, process group therapy, skills-based work, individual therapy, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, family therapy when appropriate, and discharge planning that helps carry progress forward.

If you or someone you care about is looking for structured, in-person support in Hawaiʻi Kai, we’re here to help you explore whether PHP is the right fit. Self-referrals and provider referrals are welcome. Call or text 808.379.6656 to learn more.

This post is for informational purposes only and is not emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.

Healing happens here.

At Wellness Partners Mental Health, our in-person Partial Hospitalization Program offers a higher level of support for adults who need more than weekly therapy, but do not require inpatient hospitalization. It is designed to provide structure, connection, and clinical depth in a welcoming setting that supports healing without removing people from their daily lives entirely.

Our PHP meets five days per week and is thoughtfully designed for adults navigating mental health concerns, including cases where substance use may also be part of the picture. Care may include group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, coping skills development, and support from therapists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, with treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals.

Located in Hawaiʻi Kai, this program is often a meaningful next step for those transitioning from a higher level of care, those needing more support than outpatient treatment can provide, or those hoping to address a crisis before it escalates. Referrals are welcomed, but not required, and self-referrals are always accepted.

If you or someone you care about may benefit from PHP, our team is here to help you understand the process and explore whether this level of care is the right fit. Call or text 808.379.6656 or visit wellnesspartnershawaii.com to learn more.
