Over the past several weeks, so many clients, and community members have shown incredible patience, kindness, and support during this difficult season for my family. It has truly meant more than I can express. 💛

As a small gesture of appreciation, I’ll be doing a client appreciation giveaway through the end of June.

One winner will receive a complimentary 60-minute Myofascial Release session ($220 value) at my Hooksett, NH office location.

Clients seen during May & June will be automatically entered to win. Those who also donate to my sister’s family GoFundMe will receive one additional entry.

You do not need to be an existing client to participate.

Maximum of 2 entries per person.

If donating, simply send me a screenshot of your donation confirmation via email or fb messenger so I can add your name to the drawing.

Thank you all again for the compassion and support you’ve shown our family during this time.

A personal share here because my family is in the middle of something devastating.

My brother-in-law remains in critical condition after a severe accident, and my sister and their four children are facing an incredibly difficult and uncertain road ahead.

If you’re able to donate, share, or keep them in your prayers, it would mean so much. ❤️

Cory Dunn was recently involved in a devastating accident and is now in critical condition, … Krystal Pavlin needs your support for Supporting the Dunn Family

I share this often because it’s one of the simplest things you can do that actually makes a difference.

When I do postural evaluations, I consistently see rounded shoulders and a rounded upper back.

Our lives pull us forward—
phones, computers, driving…

This is a simple way to give your body the opposite.

In this photo I’m using a yoga bolster, but a rolled-up bath towel works just as well.
Place it along your spine, let your shoulders fall open, and allow gravity to do the work.

Breathe into it. Stay for about 5 minutes.

☀️ Bonus if you can get some sunlight while you’re there.

If you’ve ever felt relief…only for the same pain to return, you’re not alone.

Most approaches focus on the area that hurts.
But the body is interconnected and often the source of the issue is somewhere else entirely.

This is where Myofascial Release is different.
It’s slower, more intentional work that helps unwind patterns at a deeper level.

I had a last-minute opening come up this Thursday at 12pm.
Otherwise, I’m currently booking out until May 7.

If you’ve been thinking about coming in, this is a good opportunity to get in sooner.

You may have seen the viral jaw release video going around.

And yes, this kind of work can bring up an emotional response.

But force isn’t what creates lasting change.

The body releases when it feels safe, not when it’s pushed.

Myofascial release is slow, gentle, and works with the nervous system so the body can actually let go.

If you’ve been dealing with jaw tension, clenching, or TMJ - this is something we can work with in a way that creates real, lasting change.

My next available opening Is May 6. Visit www.fractalbodyworks.com to book. ✨

An unexpected clue behind rising colon cancer in young adults - researchers discovered abnormally stiff colon tissue.
But one question I keep coming back to after reading this research…

What causes this colon tissue to become stiff in the first place?

In the study, researchers found increased collagen buildup and scarring in colon tissue — making it more rigid.

But why does that happen?

We don’t have one clear answer, but factors that may contribute include:

• chronic inflammation
• microbiome imbalances
• repeated irritation or injury
• long-term stress

Over time, this can influence how tissue adapts, repairs, and functions.

From a myofascial perspective, we often see something similar in the body that has experienced stress, trauma, or restriction becomes less mobile and less adaptable.
The body is incredibly interconnected.

Supporting tissue health through Myofascial Release may be one piece of a much bigger picture.

What are your thoughts on this? Had you heard about this research before?

A client reflection shared with permission.

Grief lives in the body in ways many people don’t realize. It can tighten the chest, restrict breathing, and make simply getting through the day feel overwhelming.

After her session she described the experience as feeling “like EMDR for the body.”

People often tell me they feel lighter after their sessions. Things that once felt overwhelming don’t bother them as much.

For this particular client, she shared that she has more motivation to do things again and that her cup feels more full.

Sometimes when the body releases, people feel something they haven’t felt in a long time — space.

Space to breathe.
Space to exist. 🤍
If you’re looking for support beyond talk therapy, Myofascial Release can be a gentle way to help the body process what it’s been holding.

So many people I’m seeing lately are living in a forward posture.

Rounded shoulders.
Tight chest.
Neck tension.
Upper back fatigue.

This simple supported opening can begin to counter that forward pull.

Lie on your bed or another firm surface.
Place the base of your skull (where the neck meets the head) at the edge of the mattress.

Allow the head to gently tip back.
Let your arms open with palms up.

If you feel bracing, pinching, or strain, ease up and bring your head fully back onto the mattress. There should be no forcing.

Let gravity do the work.
Breathe. Soften the body. Let it be heavy.
Notice what you feel.

If your body allows, stay for about five minutes.

And if your shoulders won’t comfortably settle back, that’s usually not just a “tight muscle” issue. It’s often deeper fascial restriction through the front side of the body.

If you’re ready to address the root instead of managing the tension, my next available appointment is March 12th.

Most people don’t realize how much stillness this work requires.

When I place my hands and hold, I’m not forcing change.
I’m listening.

Myofascial Release requires patience. The restrictions people carry didn’t form overnight. They’ve accumulated over years.

The body doesn’t unwind through pressure.
It unwinds when it feels safe.

I follow what I feel. I follow how the tissue responds. I follow what your body is ready to release.

That’s where the deeper layers shift.

Not all “myofascial release” is the same.

Many places advertise MFR but often it’s a type of a deep tissue massage.

The work I practice is the John Barnes approach.

It is slow.
It is sustained.
It is intentional.

We hold restrictions for several minutes, allowing the fascia and nervous system to unwind naturally.

It’s deeper — not because it’s more forceful — but because it works at the root of restriction.

This is why the results last.

If you’re looking for symptom management, massage can be wonderful.

If you’re looking for structural change, that’s where this work comes in.
