Living in Alaska and providing outpost clinics for veterinary access to rural Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta communities. In partnerships between Colorado State University, University of Alaska Fairbanks, and Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, we strive to improve the physical and emotional health of the pet and human populations, strengthen the human animal bond and provide community-based outreach opportunities for veterinary students. Dr. Laurie Meythaler-Mullins earned her DVM from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and a One Health Masters from University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2021. She enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, eating tasty meals, and sharing all of this with her husband and three children.
