Today at our Expectcare Hospice office, we were blessed to host a precious group of ladies from Hope Church who taught us and others from our community how to make prayer beads for ourselves and for our patients and their families. They brought all the materials, shared their time and talents, and poured so much love into the event. These sweet ladies have such huge hearts for others, and we are incredibly grateful they took time out of their day to teach us something new and meaningful. 💜

Don't forget our free community craft event is this Thursday at 10:00! We will have a sweet group of ladies from a church in Gardendale bring all the materials and teach us how to make prayer beads for our patients (and for yourself)! We would love for you to stop by if you're in the area and make some beads or just to say hello! (There will be snacks. 🙂)

It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we truly have the very best at ExpectCare Hospice! 🩷🩵💚

Today we had the joy of celebrating our incredible volunteers through an appreciation lunch, cake, and some fun raffle prizes. We were so busy laughing and enjoying time together that we completely forgot to take people pictures… which honestly says a lot about how special the day was!

To our volunteers: thank you for the love, compassion, and kindness you so freely give. You share your hearts and talents in ways that make a lasting difference, and we are beyond grateful for each of you. 🩷💚🩵

Thank you to Trader Joe’s in Hoover for their generous giftcard donation. We used it to purchase some beautiful flowers and some raffle prizes!

Congratulations to Jennifer Nix for winning a Valentine's gift Basket! Jennifer, our wonderful Volunteer Coordinator, was voted by her peers as our clinician "with the biggest heart for hospice". We are so thankful for Jennifer and all of our clinicians that make the Expectcare team exceptional.
