Sit for long periods during the day? Your hips and lower back may be feeling it.

Your hips, glutes, and lower-back muscles work together more than you might realize. When you spend long periods sitting, tension and stiffness can build up — and sometimes the place you feel the discomfort isn't the only area worth paying attention to.

That's why a good massage isn't always about chasing one tight spot. Looking at the bigger picture can help address the areas contributing to how your body feels and moves.

If sitting all day has your hips or lower back feeling tight, it may be time to give your body some attention.

Ever get that stubborn ache between your shoulder blade and spine — the kind that makes you want someone to dig right into that one spot?
Here’s what’s interesting: where you feel the tension isn’t always the whole story.
Your shoulder blade is influenced by several muscles working together, including the rhomboids underneath the trapezius. That’s why good bodywork isn’t always about simply chasing the spot that hurts.
At Stellar Massage, we believe understanding the body helps us provide more thoughtful, individualized care.
Your body talks. We listen.

That same spot in your neck or shoulder keeps tightening back up?
Sometimes the spot you feel isn’t the whole story. Stress, posture, repetitive movement, and the muscles surrounding the area can all play a part in that tension returning.
That’s why a good massage isn’t always about working one knot — sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture.
If your body has been telling you it needs some attention, listen to it.
