๐Ÿ’ญ NOT EVERY DECISION NEEDS TO BE MADE TODAY.

Have you ever noticed that the more anxious you feel about a decision, the more urgently you feel like you need to make it?

You replay the options.

You ask someone else what they think.

You Google.

You make a pros-and-cons list.

You change your mind.

Then you change it back. ๐Ÿ”„

At some point, you may not actually be thinking through the decision anymore. You may be trying to make the uncomfortable feeling of not knowing go away.

And there's an important difference between the two.

Anxiety doesn't particularly like uncertainty. It wants an answer. It wants resolution. And sometimes it creates a sense of urgency that sounds something like:

โ€œFigure this out. Fix this. Decide. Do something.โ€

โš ๏ธ But feeling an urgency to make a decision doesn't necessarily mean the decision is urgent.

So the next time you find yourself going around and around with something, try asking yourself one question:

๐Ÿ’ก โ€œDoes this actually need to be decided today?โ€

If the answer is no, give yourself permission to leave it alone for 24 hours.

No more lists.
No polling friends.
No searching for one more piece of information.
No mentally rehearsing every possible outcome.

And when your mind inevitably brings it back up, remind yourself:

๐ŸŒฟ โ€œI haven't decided yet. And I don't have to.โ€

You may still feel uncomfortable. That's okay.

The goal isn't to make the uncertainty disappear. It's to learn that you can tolerate not knowing for a little while without immediately doing something to make the feeling go away.

Sometimes, once the urgency settles, it becomes much easier to hear what you actually think.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Have you ever made a decision just because you wanted the relief of finally having it decided?

๐Ÿง  5 Signs You're Running on Stress Instead of Energy

Many high-achieving women don't realize they're burned out because they're still getting everything done.

The problem is that productivity can hide exhaustion.

Here are five signs your body may be asking you to slow down:

1. You're always "on."
Even when you have downtime, your mind keeps planning, worrying, or thinking about what needs to happen next.

2. Rest doesn't feel restorative.
You sleep, take a day off, or go on vacationโ€”but you still feel emotionally drained.

3. You feel guilty when you're not being productive.
Relaxing feels uncomfortable because you've tied your worth to what you accomplish.

4. Small things feel overwhelming.
A minor inconvenience brings you to tears or leaves you feeling unusually irritable. That's often a sign your emotional reserves are running low.

5. You can't remember the last time you did something just because it brought you joy.**
When life becomes all responsibility and no renewal, burnout isn't far behind.

๐Ÿ’™ Here's something important to remember:

Stress isn't just about how much you're doing. It's also about how little you're recovering.

Recovery doesn't always mean taking a vacation. Sometimes it means:

๐ŸŒฟ Saying no without guilt.
๐ŸŒฟ Asking for help.
๐ŸŒฟ Taking a real lunch break.
๐ŸŒฟ Spending 10 minutes in silence.
๐ŸŒฟ Making space for something that fills you up instead of drains you.

โœจ Which of these signs resonates with you the most? Share the number in the comments, or add one you'd include on the list.

Sometimes the first step toward change is simply recognizing where you are.

It isn't anxiety.

It isn't burnout.

It isn't perfectionism.

Those are often just the symptoms.

Over the years, I've worked with countless accomplished women who appear to have everything together.

They're the professionals.

The caregivers.

The mothers.

The partners.

The women everyone depends on.

They're capable.

Thoughtful.

Strong.

Yet beneath all of that competence, many are quietly exhausted.

They often come to therapy because of anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, or a major life transition.

But underneath those struggles is often a deeper question:

That is the heart of my work.

I help women understand the patterns that have kept them overwhelmed, create healthier boundaries, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with their own needs, values, and identity.

Because therapy isn't only about reducing symptoms.

It's about helping women move beyond simply getting through each day and begin living with greater balance, confidence, authenticity, and fulfillment.

Helping women feel like themselves againโ€”not the version everyone else needs them to be, but the person they truly areโ€”is the greatest privilege of my work.

The women who struggle the most aren't always the ones who look like they're struggling.

They're often the women everyone else admires.

โ€ข The dependable one.
โ€ข The successful professional.
โ€ข The caregiver.
โ€ข The one everyone turns to.
โ€ข The woman who keeps showing up, even when she's running on empty.

Over time, constantly putting yourself last can begin to feel normal.

Many women spend years responding to everyone elseโ€™s needs before their own.

They become the dependable onesโ€”the women who manage the responsibilities, anticipate problems, care for others, and keep everything moving.

Over time, this pattern can become so automatic that they stop noticing their own needs altogether.

By midlife, many feel exhausted and disconnected from themselves. They may no longer know what they enjoy, what they want, or who they are outside of the roles they faithfully fulfill.

And when they begin wanting something moreโ€”more rest, more support, more purpose, or simply more room to be themselvesโ€”they often feel guilty.

But wanting a life that includes you is not selfish. ๐Ÿค

You can love the people in your life and still recognize that your needs matter. You can value the roles you fulfill without allowing those roles to become your entire identity.

Sometimes reconnection begins with one simple question:

๐ŸŒฟ What do I need at this stage of my life?

I provide psychotherapy for professional women experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, difficulty setting boundaries, and loss of connection with themselves.

I am currently accepting a limited number of new private-pay psychotherapy clients and offering complimentary 15-minute consultation calls.

In-person appointments are available in New York, with telehealth available to clients physically located in New York, Florida, and Vermont.

To inquire about availability, send me a DM with the words โ€œConsultation Request.โ€ Please do not include personal or clinical information in your message. I will respond privately with the next steps.

Many of the accomplished women I work with already know what they โ€œshouldโ€ be doing.

They know they need rest. They understand the importance of boundaries. They recognize that chronic stress isnโ€™t sustainable.

The problem is rarely a lack of knowledge.

The problem is that life keeps demanding more of them. โš–๏ธ

They may be managing a career, parenting, caregiving, marriage, finances, medical concerns, household responsibilities, and the emotional needs of everyone around themโ€”all while trying to appear capable and composed.

Over time, constantly being the dependable one can create deep exhaustion, especially when the work you do is barely noticed or appreciated.

If this sounds familiar, your overwhelm is not evidence that you are weak or incapable. It may be evidence that you have been carrying too much, with too little support, for too long. ๐Ÿ’—

You deserve a life in which your needs matter too. ๐ŸŒฟ

What would feel most supportive to you right now: more rest, more help, stronger boundaries, or simply feeling appreciated?

โœจ You don't have to keep carrying it all alone.

If you've been feeling constantly anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or like you've lost yourself while taking care of everyone else, therapy can help.

I specialize in helping women move from chronic stress and self-doubt to greater confidence, healthier boundaries, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Taking the first step is often the hardestโ€”but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change.

๐Ÿ’™ Now accepting new clients for:
In-person therapy in New York
Virtual therapy throughout New York, Florida, and Vermont

I offer a **free 15-minute consultation** so you can ask questions, learn about my approach, and see if we're a good fit before scheduling your first session.

You can feel secure in most areas of your life...
and still feel anxious in your relationship.๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿฉต

Maybe you:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Need reassurance but feel bad for asking
๐Ÿ‘‰ Overthink texts, tone, or distance
๐Ÿ‘‰ Start to pull away when things feel too intense

This isn't about being "too much" or "too sensitive."

It's about attachment.

And once you understand your patterns, you can start to feel more grounded, secure, and connected.

I created a free Attachment Awareness Worksheet to help you:
โœ…๏ธ Identify your attachment style
