☀️ Summer Hours Update! ☀️

The DeSoto County Dream Center Emergency Needs Closet is now open Wednesdays from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM for individuals and families in need of food and clothing assistance.

Our goal is to help connect neighbors with additional resources to help you get back on your feet. We want to know how to best support you, so plan to fill out a brief application upon arrival and connect with a support specialist. You will also need to provide a valid form of identification as part of the approval process.

We are CLOSED, Monday May 25th in observance of Memorial Day!
We will reopen Tuesday, May 26th.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a gift we can never fully repay.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we never forget those who fought for our freedom and the families who continue to carry their memory.

We are grateful for the courage, selflessness, and service of our fallen heroes. We pray for peace, comfort, and God’s blessings over every military family today.

Today reminded us that while the needs in our community continue to grow, so does the power of people coming together to serve one another. 💙

At today’s giveaway food distribution at the Desoto County Dream Center, 339 cars came through, serving 1,351 individuals throughout our community. Behind every car was a story, a family trying to make ends meet, parents doing everything they can to put food on the table, and individuals simply needing a little extra help and hope.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was being able to pray for every single car that came through the line. Beyond the food and supplies, we wanted every person to know they are seen, cared for, and not alone in what they are facing.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with families and share the many other ways the Dream Center continues to support our community throughout the year.

A huge thank you to every volunteer who gave their time to serve today from the Men’s Breakfast Connect Group. Your compassion, kindness, and willingness to step in and help made a lasting impact on so many lives today.

As Nurses Week comes to a close today, we want to take a moment to thank every nurse and healthcare worker who shows up each day to do the hands-on work that changes lives. Your compassion, dedication, and care make a difference far beyond what words can express.

A special thank you to the volunteer nurses and student nurses who serve alongside us at Trinity Health Center throughout the year. Your willingness to learn, serve, and care for our community helps us continue providing compassionate healthcare to every patient who walks through our doors.

It’s National Volunteer Week DAY 3 and we’re so grateful for faithful volunteers like Lena Wortham! 💙

Lena is a fantastic and reliable part of the Desoto County Dream Center family, consistently showing up and serving wherever she’s needed. She has spent time investing in our education program, helping students grow in their reading and math skills, and now faithfully serves at Trinity Health Center as a non-medical volunteer, supporting daily operations and assisting with whatever needs arise.

Her willingness to step in, serve with excellence, and love our neighbors so well makes a lasting impact.
