Did you know?

🤯 1 in 4 adults in the US are impacted by noise-induced hearing loss, a condition often stemming from exposure to loud sounds in various environments. Whether it's from concerts, workplaces, or recreational activities, prolonged exposure to excessive noise levels can gradually damage our hearing over time.

Knowledge is power, which is why it's crucial to spread awareness about this issue and take proactive measures to safeguard our auditory health.

Let's pledge to protect our hearing by using earplugs, limiting exposure to loud noises, and advocating for quieter environments. Together, we can make a significant difference in reducing the prevalence of noise-induced hearing loss and ensuring a sound-filled future for generations to come.

Upgrading your hearing aids? There's more to do than throw them out. You can:

🫴 Donate
The Hearing Aid Project (and other charitable organizations, like Help America Hear) accepts hearing aid donations of any type, age, or condition to be determined if they can be refurbished and given to recipients.

♻️ Recycle
Some electronic waste recycling centers may accept hearing aids. Check with your local recycling facility to see if they have the capacity to handle hearing aids or if they can direct you to an appropriate facility.

✌️ Keep as a Backup
If your old hearing aids are still functional, you might consider keeping them as a backup in case your current ones malfunction or need repairs. This can be especially helpful if you have a spare set for emergencies.
