We were so thankful to have a special guest preacher this past Sunday - Pastor Jacob Borgwardt from Crossroads Church in Chicago.

Jake and his wife, Liz, spent the weekend in Atlanta with the Bitters exploring the city and talking about all things church planting. Crossroads is a church that has been around over 20 years but is undergoing a “mission restart.” They are currently learning how they can re-engage with their community to build connections and reach out with the Gospel and plan to re-launch this Easter. Pastor & Meredith are privileged to have the opportunity to coach/mentor and collaborate with them in a 2-year long church planter coaching program supported by WELS Home Missions.

Calling all WELS and ELS high school artists!

Express your creativity and learn about WELS mission work in the annual Taste of Missions Poster Contest. Craft an 11” x 17” masterpiece capturing the heart of either WELS Home or World Missions. Submit by April 24, 2025, and your art could be showcased at the Taste of Missions event on June 14, 2025, at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wis.

Two overall winners (one from Home Missions and one from World Missions) will receive a $250 Amazon gift card, Taste of Missions swag bag, and their artwork will be prominently featured at the event and in the event program. All other submissions will be eligible to be voted “fan favorite” by attendees at Taste of Missions for another chance to win.
