There's something truly magical about visits from our grandbabies through The Grandbaby Project. Our Pearl residents light up with joy as they reminisce about their own cherished memories and experiences. Spending time with these little ones brings a sense of warmth and happiness and serves as a beautiful reminder of the cycle of life and the joy that new generations bring. Our Canoe Kids had an amazing afternoon during their Camp Canoe event! They enjoyed outdoor games, snow-cones, and an exciting science experiment where they created their very own volcanoes. Watching their faces light up as the "lava" erupted was priceless! We always look forward to having fun with our Canoe Kids and creating memorable experiences together.

What an exciting morning at Canoe Kids Camp! The campers kicked off the day by diving into the history of our program with thier camp leader Aime, and the energy was bright as everyone worked together to come up with a spirited camp cheer, setting a fun tone for the day! Afterwards, the kids channeled their creativity with some coloring and crafting thier very own adorable lanterns. They also made a delicious Smore's Trail Mix snack! As part of our Pay It Forward initiative, our Pearl residents showed their appreciation for our dedicated CNAs by creating handmade thank-you cards! It was wonderful to see their creativity and gratitude shine through each one.

What an exciting week for Finn the Phoenix! After a special tour with the film crew, he followed the Canoe Kids as they explored through fun camp activities. His favorite was making a volcano erupt with vinegar and watching the bubbly explosion! After all the excitement, Finn relaxed by doing one of his favorite things, canoeing! He loved gliding across the water and soaking up the sunshine.

This week our Pearl residents were surprised with a visit from the delightful Canoe Kids Campers! The joy of their presence was infectious as they showed their energetic Canoe Camp Chant, and then beautifully sang "This Little Light of Mine" while waving handmade lanterns. The laughter and smiles grew even bigger when they joined in some fun dancing with our residents! To top it all off, those sweet campers also brought delicious doughnuts to share. Moments like these remind us of the beautiful intergenerational connections we can create. Thank you, Canoe Kids, for brightening our day!
