🥗 “Healthy” doesn’t always mean lower calorie.
A salad can absolutely be a great choice — but once you add creamy dressing, cheese, avocado, nuts, croutons, bacon, or large portions, the calories can climb quickly.
Meanwhile, a simpler burger may sometimes come in lower than a fully-loaded salad.
The point is not that burgers are better than salads.
The point is that:
ingredients matter
portions matter
balance matters
You don’t have to label foods as “good” or “bad.” You just need to understand what you’re actually eating and how it fits into your overall goals.
At The Body Co., we help patients learn how to build meals that are satisfying, realistic, and aligned with their calorie and macro needs — without feeling like they have to live on lettuce. 💗
Healthy eating is about the whole picture, not the name of the meal.
