Friday recap!
Today we had highs and lows. We had 2 amazing adoptions and 1 beautiful reclaim!
Although we had 5 stray dogs enter from Wilmont Street... we had a good day! It was a another successful surgery day with 7 surgeries done! 6 dogs and 1 cat were fixed today. We are hoping and praying our adoptions pick back up now that summer has ended.
Now, when you adopt: if the dog or cat is not fixed they are moved into the surgery room to wait to be fixed. This is done in house! Our vet is here 2 days a week so the wait is not long. We are EXTREMELY grateful to have this surgical suite. It was a long road but worth the wait! So many good things to look forward to!
We know the past couple months have been tough but we are determined for the future to be better! We want to see our adoptions go up and euthanasia rate to go back down. We know this can happen if the community comes together!
Help us by simply keeping your pets contained, getting them fixed, and keeping them healthy with the food and water and basic veterinary care they need. If you need assistance, we will help the best we can, even if that means giving advice, phone numbers for low cost vouchers, giving you food or supplies from our community pantry. Help us keep the pantry stocked for families in need. Anything animal related from food, leashes, topical flea and tick prevention, harnesses, food bowls, kennels... all of it we offer to those who need it once every 60 days. We give what we can. We have to help each other and be there for one another. That is what a community is.
Please consider visiting us Monday! We are closed for the weekends.
