The staff and family of Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services Inc. ask that you join us in prayer for the family of Eain Hughes.

Eain Leroy Hughes, 18, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned on Thursday, August 20, 2026. He was born on January 22, 2008, in Dallas, Texas, to Sky Hughes.

Eain was preceded in death by his brother, Taylor Hughes; his sister, Isabella Wheeler; his grandparents, Glenn and Debbie Hughes; and his grandmother, Michelle Brown.

Eain spent most of his childhood growing up in Dallas, Texas, before moving to Arkansas. He graduated from Hot Springs World Class High School in May 2026. Eain was a loving, caring, sarcastic, and respectful young man who brought his own special personality and joy to those around him.

Eain was affectionately known by his nicknames, “Ksoo” and “Fat Boy.” He had dreams of becoming a pipe welder on an oil rig and was enrolled at National Park College in Hot Springs. Eain had a passion for cooking, working on cars, and spending time with his family.

His brother, Eli, and sister, Savannah, were truly the light of his life. Eain loved them deeply and never let a day go by without praying for them and keeping them in his thoughts.

Eain leaves to cherish his loving memory: his mother, Sky Hughes (Troy Sowash) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his brother, Eli Wheeler; his sister, Savannah Wheeler; his uncle, Michael (Bethany) Hughes of Fate, Texas; his grandmother, Betty McConnell Hughes Salter of Royse City, Texas; his cousin, Kayla Massie of Celeste, Texas; his aunt and second mother, Gina McCarty of Hot Springs, Arkansas; his father, Cedric Haywood of Russellville, Arkansas; his grandparents, Torra Smith and Shawn Preston of Dallas, Texas; and the many members of the village that surrounded and supported him, including Tammy Livingston, Candy Phillips, Ms. Debbie McDowell and the entire CYS staff, Gwendolyn Alexandria, Jerry Morgan, and many other DHS workers who played a meaningful role in his life.

He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. Though his life was far too short, Eain touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services, Inc.,336 E Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901

"The family of Myles I. Tatum would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the PICU staff of Arkansas Children's, who ensured that the care given in Myles’ final goodbye was extended to family and friends alike. Their diligence, kindness, and conversation acted as a comfort in a time of uncertainty.

We would also like to thank everyone who shared kind words, memories, thoughts, and prayers since our loss. We know that in all of your hearts and minds, Myles will continue to thrive in remembrance, through laughter and love, just as he lived."
