Our First Care Walk-In Clinic lab successfully passed its CLIA inspection with ZERO deficiencies today!!👏
🔬This busy laboratory performs approximately 15,000 tests annually and provides quality laboratory services 7 days a week to support patient care in the Hot Springs community. A special shoutout to Lead Tech Cassey Goodnight, MLT, for her dedication and leadership, and to Harmony O’Neal, our newest team member, who has quickly become a valuable part of the team and is doing a fantastic job. We’re thankful for each contributing team member that gives up their weekends and some holidays as well, no one goes unappreciated!! Achieving a zero-deficiency inspection is no small feat and reflects the hard work, commitment, and teamwork that happen behind the scenes every day.

This Lab Week, we want to take a moment to talk to you—the patients, families, and communities we serve every day.

Whenever you get blood work done, a urine test, or any kind of lab exam, you probably don’t see what happens next. The samples leave your hands, and somewhere behind closed doors, a team begins working quietly and carefully.

That team is made up of Medical Laboratory Scientists.

They are the ones who analyze your samples, verify your results, and make sure the numbers your doctor sees are accurate and reliable. Before a diagnosis is made, before a treatment plan begins—your care often starts in the lab.

Every result carries weight. It could confirm an illness, rule one out, or guide life-saving decisions. That’s why each test is handled with focus, precision, and a deep sense of responsibility.
