When we get injured, a psychological injury often happens as well.
We stop doing the things that hurt, then we start avoiding the things we *think* might hurt.
And even after our body begins to heal, the fear can stick around.
“What if I hurt myself again?”
“What if I can't do it?”
“What if the pain comes back?”
So how do we rebuild confidence in our bodies?
Exposure.
Not by forcing ourselves through pain, but by gradually and safely reintroducing the movements and activities we've been avoiding. Just adding a little more movement, a little more confidence, and a little more proof that your body can do this.
Sometimes healing isn't just about getting out of pain.
It's about learning to trust your body again.
