The Storch Lab at Baylor College of Medicine In addition to our expertise in disorder-specific research, our studies also include transdiagnostic approaches to key psychopathology constructs.

The Storch lab drives innovation in the treatment of mental health disorders through the integration of academic research, evidence-based practice, and novel technological approaches. Our specific research interests involve the presentation and mechanisms and treatment of disorders, with a particular focus on obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety.

Myla graduated with honors from Williams College in June 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is particularly interested in a "global approach" to psychopathology, the relationship between social identity and mental health (e.g., anxiety), and generally, the period of child development (bonus: learning processes). She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Under the theme, “Maintenance in Complex OCD: Covert Avoidance, Mental Rituals, and Reassurance Seeking,” the congress will explore current clinical approaches and research advances for understanding and treating complex presentations of OCD.
