At 19, he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury that left extensive damage visible on his early brain scans. The initial findings suggested a poor prognosis.
๐ But his recovery took a very different course. Over the following year, he progressed from coma to consciousness, gradually regaining his ability to communicate and manage everyday tasks on his own.
