A new study found that the launch of the 988 mental health crisis hotline is linked to a significant drop in su***de deaths among teens and young adults in the U.S.

Between mid-2022 and the end of 2024, there were about 4,400 fewer deaths than expected in people ages 15 to 23, an 11% reduction.

The findings suggest that making help easier to access with a simple three-digit number is saving lives, though experts stress continued funding and support are key to maintaining and expanding its impact.

If you or someone you know needs help, the national su***de and crisis lifeline in the U.S. is available by calling or texting 988.

I was always interested in people and I knew I wanted to help them. The emotional side of a person is just as important as the physical side but is often made to be less important, and I wanted to change that because they are closely connected.

Also, my mom was a psychologist and I am happy to keep up her legacy. I curate and personalize therapy for poc and diasporic populations because we have many unique issues and you need someone that understands. 💜
