PTA Funmi and Zaina have been hard at work improving Zaina's mobility at home. Funmi has been helping her to work on balance as she navigates her environment so she can make safe movement choices and increase her independence.

Today is World Heart Day! Aveanna is proud to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) and encourage communities to advocate for heart health.

According to the World Heart Federation, CVD kills over 20.5 million people each year. However, 80% of premature deaths from CVD can be prevented by simple changes to diet, exercise, and stress management.

This year's theme for World Heart Day is "Don't Miss a Beat," an initiative to highlight the importance of recognizing signs and symptoms of CVD.
