Happy Posture Month to all those with a spine!
May is National Posture Month! Poor posture can contribute to headaches, TMJ pain, neck and back pain, herniated discs, nerve symptoms, and the list goes on. Everyday I tell my patients, "I don't teach posture because it looks nice. It is actually beneficial for your spinal alignment and alleviating pain." I use postural restoration techniques with every single patient I treat. So **ahem** sit up straight and consult a physical therapist to see how improving your posture can help you alleviate your aches and pains!
