At Legacy Community Health, we encourage parents and caregivers to take a few simple steps to help keep children safe while trick-or-treating:

🍬 Inspect Candy First: Wait until a trusted adult checks treats before eating them.

🔦 Stay Visible After Dark: Carry a flashlight or wear reflective gear so drivers can see you.

🚶 Use Safe Walking Routes: Stay on sidewalks, use crosswalks, and look both ways before crossing.

🎭 Choose Costumes That Fit Well: Avoid costumes that drag on the ground or block vision and movement.

👨‍👩‍👧 Trick-or-Treat with a Buddy: Young children should stay with an adult, and older kids should travel in a group.
