Nobody talks about the split second of jealousy.

You see the pregnancy announcement.
The ultrasound.
The “we weren’t even trying” caption.

And your heart does something you didn’t ask it to do.

It aches.

You’re happy for them. You are.
You comment. You send the hearts. You mean it.

But there’s that quiet whisper in your chest that says,

Why not me?

And then comes the guilt.
Because what kind of person feels that way?

An infertile one.

Infertility is celebrating others while grieving yourself at the same time.

It’s clapping for someone else’s miracle while mourning the one you’re still praying for.

It’s watching people live out the timeline you thought would be yours.
