This Saturday, Prolato had the honor of attending and hosting a booth at the NephCure Houston Community Day, a day all about connecting the rare kidney disease community 💙
Our Principal Investigator, Dr. Sreedhar Mandayam, joined Dr. Carl P. Walther and Mona Ip on a panel where they shared what they’ve learned from their years in the field. They walked through real case studies, talked about how to approach situations patients and families actually face, and shed light on options many people in the room hadn’t heard of before.
Afterward, attendees brought their clinical trial questions to Dr. Mandayam, and our team spent the day at the Prolato booth meeting patients and families one on one.
Thank you to NephCure and to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and shared their stories with us. Days like this are why we do what we do.

Your kidneys can’t talk, but they do send signals 👀
Foamy urine, swelling in your ankles or face, and blood pressure that’s hard to control can all be signs your kidneys need attention. Some kidney conditions, like IgA nephropathy and C3 glomerulopathy, are driven by the immune system and often start earlier than people expect.
If any of this sounds familiar, talk to your doctor about getting your kidneys checked. And if you’ve already been diagnosed, a clinical research study may be an option worth learning about.
