Every single nurse I know including myself wonders if they made a mistake choosing nursing. You didn’t!

You just need to make some adjustments to set the path.

Staying on the same unit will keep you stuck.

Being afraid to float to another unit will keep you stuck.

Working in only one specialty will keep you stuck. I did Pedi, PICU, home health, adults, case management and found a love of NICU.

The path that I’m on would be very different without all of that variety.

I get bored easily so that’s probably why I moved about every 4 years.

Being full time somewhere while nurses only need to work 3 days a week for full time will make you feel frustrated. That’s because you will be at the center of the problems on EVERY single unit.

There’s more but that’s for another time 😉

You’re awesome and you have a wide open path to success IF you choose it.

I’ve been in the game for 30 years I’ve seen and been in it all the good, the bad, the toxic.

Keep going anyway and understand that your intuition will never be wrong.

That ick in your stomach, means it’s time to go and that’s ok. On to the next opportunity.

Throughout my career doctors, nurses, case workers have asked me at one time or another to translate.

You will not regret going to nursing school. There are so many doors that are not even talked about because the landscape is so big.

People in healthcare need you and your skills. Go to nursing school.

We are located around the Houston area closer to NASA in the Webster/League City Texas area. Space is limited as it will be held in a conference room in one of the buildings that our office is located.

We will be reviewing feeds, g-tube feeds, medications, safe sleep and any questions you may have.

As a NICU nurse with 15+ years of experience and 30 years as an RN, I'm excited to give back by offering one FREE in-person Post-NICU Discharge Confidence Training Session for families.

I know firsthand that bringing a NICU baby home can feel overwhelming.

Many moms leave the hospital grateful, but also anxious, scared, and unsure of what to expect.

My goal is to provide support, guidance, and reassurance during that transition.

We are all having to deal with the repercussions of the current situation in healthcare with insurances.

When a woman that is 70 years old is crying and pleading because she can’t find help and you just dismiss her to another agency. You’re in the wrong space.

I was an athlete, competition does not deter me, it invites me.
If you’re going to put the ball in my court simply for the sake of money, be ready to receive the serve back.

People in need are not just an oversight to me, obviously I cannot always help them because of the way the insurance lays out its hurdles. However, I will call them, call places, and figure a way to help them even just for support.

Next time you just dismiss someone in tears without helping them and they call me I’m going to call you.

I don’t play about people in need that’s why I’m here.

I sat in the car just dumbfounded by the state of healthcare. Talk about major ick.

Let’s just say she helps me see things a certain way 😉. I wouldn’t be here without her. Plus our grandpa watched Benny Hill when we were kids and the accent stayed in my head ever since. She appeared more frequently as my nursing career advanced. lol. She’s got your back though without a doubt.
