Every child develops at their own pace π
Developmental milestones are not a test of parenting or a race to keep up with other children β they're simply checkpoints that help us monitor growth and development over time.
Here are a few examples of milestones you may notice as your child grows:
β¨ 6 months β responds to familiar faces, rolls over, begins babbling
β¨ 12 months β says simple words, pulls to stand, waves or points
β¨ 2 years β uses short phrases, follows simple instructions, runs and climbs
β¨ 3 years β speaks in short sentences, plays with others, draws simple shapes
Keep in mind that every child is unique. Some children may reach certain milestones a little earlier or later than others.
If you ever have questions or concerns about your child's development, don't hesitate to talk with your pediatrician. Early support and guidance can make a meaningful difference. π€
