Heather says: "I see lots of sick patients during the winter season. I want protect myself from getting sick while I provide care to children. The really cool thing is that in getting immunized I am also protecting my family, friends, and my patients!"

We applaud Heather for sharing her vaccination motivation. We’d love to share your story supporting vaccination too! Go to our website to share your photo and story: https://www.voicesforvaccines.org/why-i-vax/

It is so weird not to be working. Kathy and I will be moving to Austin soon and I will be working for Austin Regional Clinic in Leander beginning August 16th. Check out their website. Thanks again for the privilege of caring for your children. Much love to all of you.

Just an update on what's going on with me. I have accepted a position with Austin Regional Clinic. It will be at a new office still under construction in Round Rock. I feel very fortunate to have found this opportunity. It will allow me to continue to be a full time pediatrician in a medical home environment while freeing me of the burden of being responsible for everything. I am excited about this new adventure and am certain that ARC will be a great place to work. Kathy and I look forward to our new life near our children and grandchildren, but my heart remains heavy at the thought of leaving the many families I have grown to love over the last 32 years. Nothing about this is easy.

I am taking down my office web site, but this page will remain for the time being. If you wish to friend me on my personal page, it will be a nice way of allowing me to keep in touch. My last day in the office should be the last Thursday of April. ARC has a very informative web site which I will be on in the near future, so look me up.

I better sign off before I start crying. Thank you, and take care.

I would like to apologize for my tardy response to all of the wonderful posts about my departure. I had hoped a few people would miss me, but what can I say other than... WOW?! It has been a very difficult decision to make and then implement, but I am touched beyond belief by how many of you poured out your kind and loving thoughts. It is certainly more than I deserve and I will keep the memories of these expressions with me for the remainder of my days. It also gives me the energy to move on and find another outlet to continue to do what I love and to make a difference in more children's lives. Thank you all for being so understanding and gracious. Kathy and I send all of you our love, and I will never forget the honor and privilege each of you bestowed upon me.
