Meet Our Team | Alan Hananel, MD

Dr. Hananel earned his B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed his general surgery training and urology residency through Louisiana State University Medical Center and the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans.

At Houston Metro Urology, Dr. Hananel provides comprehensive urologic care for men and women. He understands that discussing intimate health concerns can sometimes feel uncomfortable, which is why creating a relaxed, welcoming environment is an important part of his approach.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Hananel enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He also enjoys diving, skiing, fishing, traveling and working with computers.

We're excited to welcome Alexandria Asvestas, MD, to Houston Metro Urology. Dr. Asvestas is now seeing patients and is ready to provide personalized, compassionate care for a wide range of urologic conditions.

Dr. Asvestas earned her medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UT Health Houston and completed her urology residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Her training includes robotic urologic surgery and advanced endoscopic procedures for conditions such as BPH and kidney stones.
