A little milestone for Houston Behavioral Health, PLLC… we’re hiring! 🎉

As our practice continues to grow, I’m looking for a Licensed Psychologist who loves assessment work as much as I do.

This position includes opportunities to conduct veteran evaluations, disability evaluations, psychoeducational assessments, cognitive testing, personality assessments, and more.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the culture we’re building, one centered on clinical excellence, compassion, cultural humility, inclusion, and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

If you’re a psychologist looking for flexible, part-time work with a supportive and collaborative practice, I’d love to hear from you.

Know someone who might be a great fit? Tag them below or send them this post!

Today, we celebrate the strength, the love, and the quiet sacrifices that often go unseen. 🤍

To all of the incredible mothers, my clients, my community, my friends, and especially my own mom…thank you for the way you show up every single day. The love you give, the resilience you carry, and the lives you shape do not go unnoticed.

It is an honor to witness your journeys, your growth, and your unwavering commitment to those you love.

You are seen. You are appreciated. You are truly amazing.

Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

This isn’t about speculation. It’s about awareness.

The tragic loss of Thy Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, and their children here in Houston has shaken so many people, and for good reason. These cases are complex, painful, and often misunderstood.

Murder-suicide is rarely random. It’s often the result of escalating distress, emotional overwhelm, and dynamics we don’t always see from the outside.

We have to start paying attention earlier.
To the warning signs.
To the changes.
To the moments where someone may feel like there’s no way out.

Because by the time it makes headlines,it’s already too late.

If you’re struggling or concerned about someone else, say something. Reach out. Get support.

This is exactly why mental health requires licensure.✨✨✨

This work is serious. People d$!. People suffer. People need real, evidence based care, not opinions.

As professionals, we’re reacting because we understand the risk.

Please seek a licensed provider. It matters.

Divorce is one of the biggest decisions a person can make. Before you let outside voices influence your choice, ask yourself: are those people prepared to walk with you through the reality of divorce? Be mindful about who you invite into such personal spaces. Seek discernment, seek wise counsel, and when needed, seek professional and legal guidance before making life altering decisions.

Not every relationship moment will be convenient.
Sometimes love shows up in the late night conversations, the hard days, the uncomfortable truths, and the moments when it would honestly be easier to walk away.

That’s when we really learn who has our back.

Convenient relationships are easy, they exist when everything feels good and nothing is required of us. But real connection shows up when it’s inconvenient… when someone chooses you even when it would be easier not to.

So ask yourself:
Are the people in your life there only when it’s easy?
And when things get uncomfortable… do you stay, or do you disappear?

Because the inconvenient moments?
That’s where loyalty reveals itself.

March is Self Harm Awareness Month 💚

As clinicians, we are often the first line of defense when a client discloses suicidal ideation or self harm behaviors. Preparation matters. Structure matters. Clinical confidence matters.

Treating Suicidal Clients & Self Harm Behaviors was created to provide practical, evidence based assessments, worksheets, and intervention guides that support both immediate stabilization and long term care planning.

This workbook is designed for mental health professionals who want:
✔ Clear risk assessment frameworks
✔ Structured intervention tools
✔ Documentation support
✔ Long term treatment planning guidance

Because when clinicians are equipped, clients are protected.
