Looking for IVF acupuncture in Houston?

At Balance Houston Acupuncture Clinic, fertility and IVF support are a major part of our practice. We work with patients at many different stages—from preparing for an upcoming IVF cycle to ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), embryo transfer, and the two-week wait.

Acupuncture can be incorporated alongside fertility treatment to support nervous system regulation, healthy pelvic and uterine circulation, and overall reproductive health. Treatment is personalized and adjusted according to where you are in your IVF cycle.

When possible, many patients begin 2–3 months before IVF. But this is important: if you've already started your IVF cycle, it is NEVER too late to contact us. We frequently begin working with patients who are already in treatment or approaching embryo transfer.

We also work alongside fertility clinics in Houston and provide acupuncture around embryo transfer, allowing us to support patients through some of the most important stages of their IVF journey.

It's one of the questions we hear most often—and while earlier preparation is generally recommended, there's no single "perfect" time to begin.

Many patients choose to start acupuncture 2–3 months before IVF, allowing time to support overall health before ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, or embryo transfer. During this time, treatment plans can be tailored to each phase of your IVF cycle.

That said, it's never too late to start. Whether you're preparing for your first consultation, beginning stimulation medications, getting ready for a retrieval, or have an embryo transfer just days away, supportive care can still be incorporated into your treatment plan.

Preparing for a Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) involves much more than the day of transfer.

During an FET cycle, your fertility team carefully coordinates hormones to prepare the uterine lining and determine the ideal timing for embryo transfer. This preparation phase is an important opportunity to support your overall health and well-being.

Acupuncture is commonly incorporated alongside Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) cycles to support nervous system regulation, healthy uterine and pelvic circulation, and the body's response to hormonal changes throughout treatment.

Many patients begin acupuncture 6–12 weeks before an FET, allowing time to support the uterine environment before transfer. However, if your transfer is next week—or even tomorrow—it is still worthwhile to begin supportive care.
