We are proud to share that Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital has again been recognized among the nation’s “Best Children’s Hospitals” by U.S. News & World Report. This year, seven of our pediatric subspecialties earned a spot in the top 50 nationwide, including Behavioral and Mental Health; Cardiology and Heart Surgery; Gastroenterology and GI Surgery; Neonatology; Nephrology; Neurology and Neurosurgery; and Orthopedics.

This achievement reflects the extraordinary talent, dedication and compassion of our entire Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital family.

We understand the importance of CDH research to improve the lives of children with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. We are honored they chose us to care for Cash! He is such a trooper and his parents were with him every step of the way!

When Madison and Chris Wilcox learned they were expecting their first child, they never imagined their parenthood journey would take so many twists and turns in such a short time.

At 16 weeks, Madison learned that her baby had a left-sided congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). But with the help of the CDH program and care team affiliated with Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, baby Cash is now thriving.

We are honored to have attended the 4th Annual Eden Calhoun Charitable Fund Gala back on May 1st. What an amazing event and way to remember Eden by helping to raise funds to give back to other CDH families. We honor their mission and vision.

What a remarkable time we enjoyed with Annie Zolman, founder of Tiny Hero: Real Hope for CDH. Annie represents the best of the CDH community, both as the mother of a CDH survivor and through her founding and ongoing support/leadership within her organization. Notably, she is inquisitive about how things are involving in CDH care and she is eager to learn more, persistently eager to help all patients and families facing CDH. We thoroughly enjoyed touring our CDH clinical care and research infrastructure with you Annie! We look forward to continuing to partner with you on all things CDH.

We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the incredible contributions of the Director of Tiny Hero, Barb Lamb. Throughout this partnership, where the Comprehensive Center for CDH Care partnered with Tiny Hero, with the support of The University of Texas McGovern Medical School and Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, we had the opportunity to work closely with Barb and her incredible team at Tiny Hero. Barb is meticulous, caring, reliable, and so well-rounded. She listens to those around her and yet takes charge when needed... all with a consistently positive attitude. Most notably, she gives so much of her time and energy to the CDH community and world.
