Ever heard of the popliteus muscle? 👀

This small but mighty muscle sits behind your knee and plays a big role in helping your knee move smoothly. The popliteus helps “unlock” the knee when you start bending it, making activities like walking, running, squatting, and changing directions feel natural and efficient.

When this muscle becomes irritated or tight, it can contribute to pain or discomfort in the back or outside of the knee.

Don’t underestimate the little muscles they often have some of the biggest jobs! 💪🦵

• Plantar Fasciitis: Inflammation of the thick band of tissue on the bottom of the foot (plantar fascia) causing heel pain, especially with the first steps in the morning.

• Bunion: A bony bump that forms at the base of the big toe when the joint becomes misaligned, often causing pain, swelling, and difficulty with shoes.

• Hammer Toe: A toe deformity where the toe bends downward at the middle joint, leading to stiffness, pain, and pressure from footwear.
