A weekend of learning, collaboration, and great friendships! 🙌🏼

What an incredible experience at the 27th Annual SMSNA Scientific Meeting in Orlando, Florida! 🌴

It was an honor to participate as invited faculty alongside some of the world’s leading pe**le implant surgeons in a panel discussion titled “Fix It or Leave It? When Is It Appropriate to Fix a Functional Pe**le Implant?” We also had the opportunity to contribute to Coloplast’s Lunch Symposium, “Elevating Men’s Health Through Innovation.”

But beyond the lectures and scientific discussions, one of the most rewarding parts of these meetings is reconnecting with great friends and colleagues, exchanging ideas, and building new relationships with experts who share our passion for advancing Sexual Medicine.

Medicine never stops evolving, and neither should we. Every opportunity to learn, collaborate, and challenge ourselves helps us become better physicians and ultimately provide better care for our patients.

Grateful for the friendships, the shared knowledge, and the opportunity to be part of such an incredible community.

Now it’s time to bring that knowledge and inspiration back home to Houston and continue doing what we love! 💪🏼

We had an amazing week at Vitality Urology Institute with 8 prosthetic cases including a reconstruction for a complex S-type curvature secondary to . Of course, the highlight of the week was hosting Dr Ely Kresch Ely Kresch who visited us from Florida.

This week was light we had 6 🍆prosthetic cases. Nevertheless, very interesting cases with complex reconstructions for corporal fibrosis and extrusion. The highlight of the week was hosting fellow- Caribbean colleague and chief resident Dr Manuel De Jesus who is about to finish his residency and start his Fellowship year at USF in Tampa.

This week included a total of 9 prosthetic cases including both first time implantees and revision surgeries! We also had our first time implanting devices from all 3 manufacturers in the same day!

However, the highlight of the week was hosting Dr Brian Ceballos who recently completed his fellowship in Genitourinary Reconstruction and Prosthetics in Dallas, TX and is ready to now start his practice at Florida! We wish him the best in his career!

Have an implant and wonder Why Does the G***s Lean to One Side?

If one implant cylinder extends farther than the other, the g***s may lean or droop to one side. This can happen with cylinder crossover, asymmetric fibrosis, or differences in distal anatomy.

The key is identifying the cause because true cylinder crossover can often be corrected.

A great week with an even greater team. 💪

This week we completed 10 prosthetic surgery cases, including complex revision and replacement procedures, reconstruction with plaque incision and grafting, and multiple cases as part of the Rigicon Infla10® clinical trial.

But today is also bittersweet.

We’re saying goodbye to one of our incredible OR nurses, Mary Mary Rose Golipatan , as she begins a new chapter outside of Houston. Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and the care you’ve given to so many patients. You have been an invaluable part of our team, and you’ll be deeply missed.

Good teams perform surgery. Great teams become family. We’ll miss you, Mary. 🫶
