Yesterday Garret and I got into an argument then realized what we were arguing about is a situation outside of our control.

Today us coaches got word that our leadership conference that was supposed to be held in New Orleans this summer is officially canceled.

Tomorrow (it’s pretty safe to say) that my corporate job will make an announcement that extends “work from home” measures through the end of April.

It’s easy to look at these things and feel like my world is crashing down. Quite frankly, it sort of felt that way when I woke up this morning... but in reality, whatever hard thing you have to push through during this moment in time will make you stronger for the next hard thing that comes your way.

Today I choose to be thankful that you and I are still alive and breathing.

I have the opportunity to wake up every day in the comfort and safety of my home knowing that I will still be getting a paycheck at the end of this week. Feeding into my day job and working on my virtual fit biz is what keeps me going during this scary time. Without a sense of purpose, it would be so easy for me to watch netflix all day (like this tiger king show - is it really worth it!?), and drinking wine all day to mask the sorrows.

Regardless if I “feel like it” I practice discipline to keep moving forward.

Washing my face, brushing my teeth, making my bed, and changing out of my p.j.’s... those are nonnegotiables for me.

Pouring into my day job using the limited resources I have, getting my work out in, and checking on fit campers... those are all actions I do to keep the wheels turning.

Connecting with new gals, posting on insta, and hosting daily dance parties in the living room... those are a plus, those things I do that make this job fun.

Regardless what else gets thrown our way... for these reasons above, I simply choose to be thankful that you and I are still alive and breathing.

In case ya missed it... shared earlier this week and a few thousand of us heard their message loud & clear BUT refused to listen.

That’s one really cool part of using social media as an outlet... You + I have the authority.

You + I have all the power in the world to use this platform for good + positivity or for negativity + evil.

You + I have the choice to spread light + love or bring others down by bullying + belittling.

You + I have all the control in what we choose to listen to, are surrounded by, read with our little eyeballs, or put into our ears every single day.

Now, almost more than ever, this time of chaos and heartbreak should be used for building community and reflecting on what you stand for.

I post my to share what’s possible with others.
I post my to hold myself accountable in consistency and be sure that I’m reaching for high goals.
I post my bc I know if it wasn’t for my friend posting her daily exercise clips first, I never would have known these types of challenging programs were out there.

So and I have a message for you... I’ll keep posting my home workouts because I know it’s inspiring others.

Never mind the fact that Garret and I should be sippin pina coladas on a white sand beach in Punta Cana today... Instead I did my hair toss in the other direction and decided to lead a virtual workout for the fab + fit + free fam instead!

Yep, you read right and probably saw it on my stories but we decided to spread light + love today by joining together in community rather than sulking at the fact that our trip did not go according to planned... That’s one funny thing about life though.

There are two types of people in this world:
1) those who choose to be the victim while capitalizing on setbacks.
2) those who build their mindset by focusing on finding a solution.

We decided to be part of the solution today. We opted to take control.

Control of our mindset + activity + fuel for our bodies. Just 30 minutes is all it takes for you to (as Lizzo would say) feel good as hell 🖤 @ Lake Ouachita State Park

Let’s pretend like my mentor would be boarding her flight to fly to Punta Cana today.
Let’s pretend like I could be living vicariously through her stories this weekend and anxiously waiting to board my flight next week.
Let’s pretend like I didn’t feel like I got jipped from earning the main prize... an all-inclusive resort vacation on white sandy beaches surrounded by palm trees.

You see, this is what I felt at first. I felt all the heartbreak after a year of constant hustle. Like many of you, it’s hard to make sense why this is happening in the world... It honestly feels like a zombie apocalypse is coming... or the bad spirits of birdbox... or the entire film of i am legend. That’s what this feels like.

Then I think about all the beautiful souls I got to meet over the past year. I think back to team-call-tuesday when we cried after sharing our big scary goals. I think about all the lives our workouts have changed by offering an affordable outlet, having the flexibility of getting on a good freaking sweat in the midst of so many busy schedules, without ever having to leave the house.

I think back to where this photo was taken, getting to squeeze Taryn in person for the first time, and how her sense of humor takes the cake among anyone else around her. I think about our learning conference this year in New Orleans and all the fun we will have being surrounded by like-minded humans gathering in one place from across the nation.

I know this trip was supposed to be my first opportunity to celebrate a year of success but you can bet your bottom it won’t be the last. For now, I’m reminding myself that everything happens for a reason - whether it be a lesson learned or strengthening us to battle something way harder in the future. It honestly does no good thinking about the what-if’s or should-have’s... rather let’s be thankful we are still alive and breathing. @ Indianapolis, Indiana

today I found myself listening to a podcast that claimed everything on insta was fake.

while to some extent a lot of photos don’t depict those real feelings behind the screen, my goal is to provide captions that shed a little light on that.

if you caught my stories today, I shared a little bit of how I’ve been feeling and adjusting to this new “normal” in the foreseeable future.

while I hope and pray we can get this under control, I feel like the worst is yet to come. in light of that, I don’t want to spend my time watching the news 24/7, a lot of it is full of fear and living with a scarcity mindset.

if there is one thing I can share with you that really might hit home during this time is to do and act with love.

starting tomorrow, be a light for others who are experiencing tougher times than you. share with sincerity and compassion. call a friend who might not be a fan of being home alone all day. read something to learn something new.

we are going through this as a community and you are not alone. be kind and smile to you neighbor.

If it wasn’t for a last minute invite to a crawfish boil this weekend, I would have spent the whole weekend alone.

Normally I would be super stoked about this situation but when it feels like we’re witnessing a zombie apocalypse and you’re already working for home all week, this weekend of being alone made me feel super uneasy.

After binging Netflix for a few hours and snacking my way through the afternoon, I knew it was time to do something productive - go outside and run.

This time gave me a moment to reflect on the situation that most of us are experiencing right now and what we can do about it.

For me, I’m focusing on the controllables - staying in routine as much as possible, nourishing my body with healthy foods to keep my immune system in tip top shape, and pumping positivity by listening to a few of my favorite podcasts.

I think the worst thing we can do during this time is freak out and listen to fake news. Do your research, keep your head on straight, and send high energy vibes to all those affected by this tough time. We got this pals 👊🏼.
PS. If you’re online shopping like I’m trying not to.... lol. Head to and use my code AMBER10 for a discount on these cute soft workout crop tops!

Wowza... let me tell ya about this weekend in 2.5 seconds!

1)My baby sis won her soccer game 7-2 and scored 2 of the winning goals.
2)Saturday we celebrated my mom’s best friend’s parents’ anniversary of 60 years... SIXTY.
3)Sunday we celebrated my parents anniversary of 30 years... THIRTY.

Lots of love and family shenanigans this weekend! In case you were wondering, we won’t be hopping on either of those trains soon - babies or marriage.... 🙃🙂🙃🙂 For now my focus is starting Week 2 of this 6 week program I’m doing to build muscle and lean out for Punta Cana and we couldn’t be more stoked to celebrate the first full year of hosting virtual fit camps ON THE BEACH!

Okay, that’s all... you’re caught up... til tomorrow!

If you don't believe it and live it, it will not work.

When it comes to your relationship, fitness, lifestyle, career, finances, self talk and headspace... Remember who you're doing it for.

When you think she's just smarter, stronger, prettier, or things must come easy for her... Remember she worked for it. She overcame obstacles. Her WHY was greater than her excuses.

So when you feel yourself getting tired, considering the alternative, or being worn out from being so "on" all the time... Remember who you’re doing it for.

Remind yourself of the YOU, you want to be. The daughter, sister, leader, provider, supporter, caregiver who you’re hustling for.

I heard something from one of my favorite gals today and knew I HAD to share it to see if you can relate... Ready for it?

Straight from Mrs. herself, “We crave connection in a world that is connected 24/7 but simultaneously disconnected in so many ways.” Like WOAH.

Let’s think about that for a second because how can that be?

Being a small town gal living outside a big city back then to now living in the heart of a completely different one, this phrase resonates with me on a whole nother level.

I used to think living inside the city meant being part of the “in crowd.” Like I would have all these friends in the city and go to all these places and have this much fun all the time. Although some nights may look like that from time to time, I’ve really learned to thrive through spending time by myself. I know it might sound odd but just think... Those silent moments and times without distraction, we have to learn to entertain our own ideas.

Wanna go on a walk? You do it.
Wanna splurge at TJ Maxx? You do it.
Wanna feel better about yourself in the mirror? You do it.

All those times when we lack access to all these friends in the same city or going to all these places and having this much fun all the time, you learn to find what’s important to you. Once you find it, you connect with others about it. That’s where we learn to grow and obtain laser focus, as well as share those thoughts and feelings with others who are ready to support.

Currently counting down the days (21 left) until I get to see these beautiful souls in Punta Cana to celebrate my first full year of making meaningful connections in a world that finds itself disconnected in so many other ways.

Wanna come with next year? You CAN sit with us! Fill out the link in my bio and let’s chat to see what route you’d fit best .fabfit 🖤
