Asia’s House is Houston’s first temporary emergency shelter for LGBTQ+ youth ages 15 to 17. Created by Grace Place with support from the Montrose Center, the shelter provides a safe place to stay and connects youth with essential support and resources. The house is named in memory of Asia Jynaé Foster, a young Houston transgender woman who advocated for safe housing and support for LGBTQ+ youth before she was murdered in 2020.

"Asia told us what young people here needed, and she was right. Building this in her name means the young person who walks through our door at 16 doesn't have to prove anything to anyone to be safe tonight"
