What if we told you that you could save 20% on your Christmas shopping AND help support TCMH without donating an extra dollar?

Tonight, you can do exactly that!

Bomgaars Ladies Night is happening TONIGHT from 5 PM to 8 PM, and this is one shopping trip worth making.

Everyone who shops during the event gets 20% off regular prices. Even better, Bomgaars will donate 5% of the evening's total sales to the TCMH Healthcare Foundation.

Think about that. The Christmas gifts you were already planning to buy, the things you need around the house, or even a little something for yourself can help support healthcare right here in our community.

TONIGHT, NOVEMBER 1, 5 PM to 8 PM Bomgaars in Houston 1476 South Sam Houston Boulevard

We are grateful to Bomgaars for giving our community an opportunity to shop local and give back at the same time.

Three hours, some great savings, and a chance to make a difference for TCMH.

Grab a friend and come shop for a great cause!

Today is World Stroke Day! TCMH is raising awareness about stroke prevention, recognizing the warning signs, and improving care for stroke patients.

🚨 Remember BE FAST!
🅱️ B – Balance loss
👀 E – Eyesight changes
😊 F – Facial drooping
💪 A – Arm weakness
🗣️ S – Speech difficulty
⏰ T – Time to call 911!

Every second counts during a stroke. Recognizing the signs and seeking emergency care immediately can make a difference.

At TCMH, we're continually working to improve stroke care close to home. Over the last three years, we've used RapidAI technology in partnership with CoxHealth in Springfield to help our team quickly evaluate stroke patients and determine the most appropriate treatment. These advancements have helped reduce transfers and allow more patients to receive care locally when appropriate.

A special thank-you to Jason Mayberry, TCMH Education Director and Stroke Coordinator, for his continued dedication to stroke education and improving patient care throughout our community!

Together, we can raise awareness, recognize the signs, and be !

A second chance at life, thanks to quick thinking and teamwork!

For Albert Root of Bucyrus, a sudden medical emergency turned an ordinary morning into a fight for his life. Thanks to the quick actions of three TCMH team members, Albert received the emergency care he needed and was quickly transferred for lifesaving surgery.

Today, Albert and his wife, Teresa, are sharing their story and expressing their heartfelt gratitude to Kristy McCown, rad tech, Kalli Wade, RN, and Chris Weaver, RN, for the roles they played during one of the scariest moments of their lives.

Their experience is a powerful reminder of why rural healthcare matters and how having emergency care close to home can make a life-changing difference.

👇 Read their story below!

For Albert and Teresa Root of Bucyrus, Missouri, the early morning hours of September 19 began like any other day. But within minutes, a sudden, sharp […]

We are excited to recognize Shanda Fitzgerald, an RN in our emergency department, who has been nominated for the DAISY Award at TCMH for the second time this year!

The DAISY Award honors excellent clinical skills, leadership, extreme patient care, and compassion.

Shanda was nominated by a TCMH patient who shared the following:

“Shanda was called by Lori in the radiology department to assist in the insertion of the IV contrast. She was very competent and professional. I have very small veins that move and an IV insertion was not easy, but Shanda was able to locate a vein that she could use. I am pleased, very pleased, with her attitude, performance, and consideration during my appointment. Thank you so much, Shanda!"

We are so grateful to have Shanda as part of our emergency department team! Her compassion, kindness, and exceptional care make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Thank you, Shanda, for all you do for our patients and our community. Keep doing great things!

Make plans to stop by the Hurt’s Donut truck at VIP Properties this Friday, October 30, and enjoy an amazing donut while helping sweet Addy, the precious granddaughter of our very own TCMH team members, Rick and Linda Garner, as she continues her fight against leukemia.

Let's come together as a community to show Addy and the Wallace family some extra love and support during this difficult time. Every donut makes a difference, and every bit of support means so much!

A special THANK YOU to Hurt’s Donuts in Springfield for organizing this wonderful fundraiser for Addy and her family!

“Like a good neighbor.” Some people put those words on a sign. Others put them into action.

Justin Shelby - State Farm is doing both.

We're proud to recognize Justin as a Gold Level Sponsor of the 2026 TCMH Healthcare Foundation Online Hospice Auction.

Hospice care is something most of us don't think much about until someone we love needs it. Then, suddenly, it means everything. Having compassionate people close to home, helping families through some of their hardest days, is something worth protecting.

And that's what makes Justin's support so meaningful. He's not just sponsoring an auction. He's standing behind a service that matters to the same people he sees around town every day.

Justin, thank you for putting your name behind a cause that means so much to so many families. We're grateful for your friendship and support.

WHO'S NEXT?

We're still welcoming businesses and individuals who want to help make this year's Hospice Auction a success. You don't have to be a big company to make a meaningful difference. If you'd like to become a sponsor, send Jeff Gettys, TCMH Foundation President an email at [email protected] or call at 417-967-1377.
We'd love to have you involved.
