What did you notice about yourself today...
that you normally overlook?
✨A feeling?
A thought?
A physical sensation?

Just notice.

🌿 Wellness Wednesday

Observation is the first mindfulness skill in DBT. Practice noticing your experiences without immediately reacting or trying to change them.

Even a minute of simply observing your breath, your body, or your surroundings can help you become more present

Notice...🍃 your breathing
☀️ your surroundings
💭 your thoughts
❤️ your emotions

No fixing.

No judging.

Just noticing.
✨Awareness is the first step toward change.

🧠 Therapy Myth Tuesday

Myth:

"Mindfulness means clearing your mind completely."

Reality:
Mindfulness isn't about having no thoughts.

It's about noticing your thoughts without getting carried away by them.

Thoughts come and go. Mindfulness helps us observe them rather than become them.

Try This:

Instead of drinking your coffee while scrolling your phone...

Pause and observe.
👀 Notice the steam rising from the mug.
👃 Notice the smell of the coffee.
🤲 Notice the warmth of the mug in your hands.
👅 Notice the first sip and its flavor.
💭 Notice any thoughts that come up.
❤️ Notice any emotions that are present.

That's it.

No judging.

No analyzing.

No trying to change anything.

Just notice.

🌞 Mindset Monday

Find your Wise Mind

This week, we'll explore the mindfulness skills that help us access Wise Mind more often.

What is Wise Mind you ask?

We all have an Emotional Mind and a Reasonable Mind. Wise Mind is the place where both come together to help us make thoughtful decisions instead of reacting impulsively.

If you find yourself often acting out of emotion or being so focused on facts that it impacts your relationships, consider working toward accessing your wise mind.

In Wise Mind, we strive for the balance between the 2.

Instead of asking,"What am I feeling?"or"What are the facts?"

✨ Practice Inviting Wise Mind

Place a hand over your heart or on your abdomen and ask:
"What does my Wise Mind know?"
Don't force an answer. Sit quietly for a few breaths and allow it to arise. Wise Mind often feels quieter and steadier than either intense emotion or pure logic.

🌱 Choose one effective next step.
Ask:
"What action honors both my feelings and the facts?"
“What action is most effective in this situation?”

❤️🤍💙 Thoughtful Question Thursday

This Fourth of July, while we celebrate freedom as a nation, it's also an opportunity to reflect on the freedom we can give ourselves.

Healing often begins when we let go of something that no longer serves us—whether that's perfectionism, self-doubt, comparison, or the pressure to always have it all together.

As July begins, ask yourself:
What burden am I ready to put down?

Be gentle with yourself. Growth doesn't happen overnight, but every step toward self-compassion is worth celebrating. 🌿

🤍 We'd love to hear your answer in the comments.

Feeling overwhelmed?

Try this simple grounding exercise:

👀 5 things you can see
✋ 4 things you can touch
👂 3 things you can hear
👃 2 things you can smell
👅 1 thing you can taste

It only takes a minute, but it can help bring your mind back to the present.

Save this post for the days you need it. 🤍

🌸 July Intentions 🌸

Gentle Reminder:

You don't have to have it all together to be doing better.

Healing isn't always loud.
Sometimes it looks like:
🤍 Drinking a glass of water
🤍 Taking a deep breath
🤍 Saying "no" without guilt
🤍 Asking for help
🤍 Simply making it through the day

Every small step matters.

Be proud of yourself for showing up today. 💚
