This office is now closed as Dr. Zuccone is enjoying a much deserved retirement. However, Marge Harris who has worked with Dr. Z for 9 years is continuing the Irlen work. Second semester is just starting so it's a great time to get screened for Irlen Syndrome or get lenses if you've already been screened. Get good grades from the beginning rather than playing catch-up!

Irlen Syndrome isn't just about students struggling in school. It can affect a person of any age. In the past several months, we've seen people with extreme light sensitivity to the point in which they could not lead a normal life. It has kept them from holding a job and/or driving. With their Irlen filters, they've been able to enjoy a full life!!!!

Meet one of our latest clients who drove five hours to get screened one day and fitted for lenses the next. Everything danced for her and she was basically unable to make out any words. Once we found her right tints, she read like the teacher in front of the class while her mom had wet eyes from hearing the difference. Even though her Irlen is severe, these light lenses were what she needed to make the world normal. This session ended with hugs all the way around!

When I screened a high school senior and asked what reading was like, she answered, "Mayhem." When we got the correct tint for her lenses a week later, she said, "Not mayhem anymore; now it's harmony." What a wonderful description of the effects of color!

"I feel almost like Superman now!" These were the words of a gentleman who had a tint check and got his colors tweaked! Don't forget to get your tint check. You change over time and sometimes the lenses fade a bit. You'll feel better for doing it.

okay i literally love you- i’ve been on my laptop all night- and i’m like fine. like the overlays are great like no headache no eye ache it’s amazing

You can tell it's an excited teenager! And this is why we do what we do.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our dear colleague, Gloria J. Beckham. Her unexpected passing leaves a hole in our hearts and in the hearts of all who knew her. We send our condolences to her family during this difficult time.

Gloria's career as a licensed clinical psychologist spanned 40 years. She considered her work her life's calling. Her particular interest in the health and well-being of children was always at the center of her efforts. Her time with Dr. Carol Zuccone and Associates covered more than ten years during which she worked primarily testing the younger children coming to the practice. Her expertise and experience will be sorely missed.
