💗 Pink for a Purpose! 💗

Yesterday, our residents and team came together for our first Breast Cancer Awareness event, proudly wearing pink to show our support for those affected by breast cancer. 🎀

We’re keeping the spirit going! Every Wednesday this month, we’ll be wearing pink to spread awareness, show support, and remind everyone that we stand together in the fight against breast cancer. 💕🎀

💗 A Heartfelt Thank You to the Young Men Service League 💗

Today, our hearts are a little fuller because of a beautiful act of service.

This amazing group of mothers and sons chose to spend part of their weekend with us at The Auberge at Vintage Lake, lovingly caring for something that is such an important part of our residents’ daily lives—their wheelchairs.

They worked together, cleaned, cared, and served with such kindness and enthusiasm. But what touched us most wasn’t simply the work they accomplished—it was the time they chose to give.

In a world where weekends can be filled with so many things, these young men chose to give their time to our residents. They showed us that kindness has no age, and that serving others is one of the most beautiful ways we can make a difference.

To the mothers who are raising these young men with hearts for service, and to each young man who showed up ready to help—thank you. You may have come here to clean wheelchairs, but you left behind something much more meaningful: a reminder that our residents are seen, valued, and cared for by people beyond our community.

We are incredibly grateful for each of you. Thank you for giving your time, your energy, and most importantly, your hearts. ❤️

🧵 The Hands Remember 🧵🍂

Today, our residents created something beautiful—not just with fabric and thread, but with years of experience and cherished traditions.

These custom-made fall pillows were lovingly hand-sewn by residents who grew up sewing, mending, and creating things for their homes. For many, working with a needle and thread is a familiar part of life—a skill learned long ago and carried with them through the years.

Today, those hands picked up the needle and thread once again.

Perhaps the eye of the needle is a little bigger than the ones they once used, and perhaps every stitch doesn’t look exactly the same. There is something incredibly moving about watching a lifelong skill resurface through muscle memory, confidence, and pride.

Every stitch carries a little piece of their story.

Today’s mission: Folding, chatting, and having a little fun!

Our residents jumped right in to help fold our community tablecloths, proving once again that many hands make light work! 👏

A little teamwork, a lot of smiles, and plenty of conversation made this simple task a wonderful time together. ❤️
