Sagis is a physician-lead sub-specialty pathology group supported by a CAP-accredited histology lab located in the heart of Houston, Texas. Lead by a team of board-certified pathologists, our lab is at the forefront of diagnostic science. Offering the highest quality services to physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals. One of our many strengths is we develop strong collaborative relationships with each of our referring physicians by offering accurate, prompt, and clear diagnoses in a personal and customized manner. Our board-certified pathologists have trained at world-class institutions including MD Anderson Cancer Center (TX), Columbia University (NY), Washington University (MO), Harvard Medical School (MA), Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology (NY) to name a few. Sagis offers the best medical consultations with the capacity to identify the most critical cases with state-of-the-art integrated solutions to all physicians and hospitals we continue to collaborate with. We work with our peers from around the country to determine the most suitable treatment options in the best interest of all the patients we care for. Our team includes an excellent group of service couriers ensuring the security and safety of transport, servicing all our clients. By taking a team-based approach from pick-up to diagnosis, our patients are always the focus and are receiving the best medical care possible.

This September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, so don’t let prostate health get sidelined. Please join us in welcoming Heather Froehlich, MD, to the Sagis team!
Dr. Froehlich is a Board-Certified Dermatopathologist, also certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology. She completed her residency and dermatopathology fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she also served as an Instructor of Pathology.
Dr. Froehlich specializes in diagnosing skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma, along with complex inflammatory and infectious skin conditions. She’s passionate about clinicopathologic correlation, partnering closely with referring clinicians to support early detection and better patient outcomes.
