PHP, IOP, and SOP are outpatient levels of care. The right fit depends on each person’s needs, goals, and support system.

✅ PHP : Partial Hospitalization Program
More structured, frequent support while living at home. PHP may help after inpatient care or provide an alternative to hospitalization.

✅ IOP : Intensive Outpatient Program
Several treatment sessions each week while continuing school, work, or family routines. IOP is often used as step-down care.

✅ SOP : Standard Outpatient Program
Ongoing therapy, support, and follow-up at a lower frequency as stability and independence grow.

You don't need perfect words to support someone you love. Your presence, patience, and willingness to listen can make a meaningful difference.

Try saying:
✓ "I've noticed you seem off lately: I'm here to listen."
✓ "You matter to me."
✓ "How can I support you today?"

Avoid saying:
✕ "Just get over it."
✕ "You're being dramatic."
✕ Anything rooted in shame, blame, or pressure.

Support can also include loving boundaries: "I care about you, and I can't support behavior that harms me or others." Boundaries are not rejection: they help create safety and clarity for everyone.
