Hi, I’m Cara 👋
This space is a mix of all things attachment, relationships, boundaries, connection, and real life, with some counseling insight and probably a little humor along the way.
I’m here to share, educate, start conversations, and keep things relatable.
Take what you need. Share what resonates. Leave what doesn’t. Not everything is for everyone, and that’s okay. 🤍

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t having feelings—it’s figuring out what those feelings are trying to tell you. 👀

You can care about someone AND recognize a pattern that isn’t healthy for you.
You can understand where someone’s behavior comes from **without excusing its impact.
You can want connection AND require consistency, clarity, and reciprocity.
You can be hurt without making someone the villain. And you can walk away from something that mattered without pretending it never mattered.

Healing isn’t becoming “unbothered.” It’s becoming more aware of what activates you, what you need, what you’re willing to accept, and when it’s time to choose differently.

Feel it. Get curious. Notice the pattern. Act accordingly.💗

Our furry colleague needs your support! 💜🐾

Maple Leigh is a rescue, and for the past four years, she’s been the sweetest little fur counselor. She has sat beside so many people and clients through some of their hardest moments—now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Maple’s story has always been one of resilience. She had her front-right leg amputated as a puppy and then spent three years in foster care, repeatedly overlooked by adopters before finally finding her forever home.

This little tripod is a daily reminder that our differences make us special, resilience comes in all forms, and we can do hard things.

Maple has given a whole lot of comfort and love. Let’s give some back to her. 💜🐾

Ever catch yourself thinking, “How did I end up in this pattern AGAIN?”👀

Different person. Different relationship. Somehow… familiar feeling.

Our relationship patterns don’t come out of nowhere. We learn through experiences with other people what connection, safety, conflict, love, and even rejection feel like.

So instead of getting stuck asking “why?”, I like to get curious about the what and how.

What happened?
What got activated?
What did you need in that moment?
How did you respond?
How did they respond to you?
And what did that experience teach you about yourself, others, and relationships?

Maybe you reach harder. Maybe you shut down. Maybe you over-function. Maybe you bounce between “come here” and “okay, now get the f**k away from me.”😅

The pattern is information.

Understanding it gives us compassion. Recognizing our part gives us accountability. And having different experiences gives us the opportunity to change it.🧠

Get curious. Notice the pattern. Own your part. Choose differently.
