You Can't Ask For What You Are Unwilling To Give Yourself First 🖤😮‍

You want loyalty… but you abandon yourself every time somebody attractive gives you attention.
You want honesty… but lie about what you truly need.
You want peace… but keep entertaining confusion because loneliness gets loud at night. 👀

Let’s really speak on it.

A lot of people are out here begging others for consistency, reassurance, softness, patience, effort, communication, and healing… while refusing to give those same things to themselves first.

That’s why some connections drain you instead of growing you. Because deep down, you’re asking another person to build a home inside wounds you still refuse to clean out. 🕯️

Every bad relationship isn’t witchcraft. Every failed connection isn’t jealousy. Every argument isn’t somebody “hating on your light.” 👀

Sometimes you are the confusion. Sometimes your mouth is reckless. Sometimes your trauma got you mistaking control for love and chaos for passion.

Phucc It Friday: Marriage Beds Are Undefiled or Something Like That 👀🫦

Listen… somewhere between scripture, soul ties, and somebody biting your shoulder while speaking in tongues, folks forgot intimacy was actually supposed to feel GOOD. 😭

A lot of people were taught to fear sensuality instead of respecting it. Told desire was dirty. Passion was sinful. Pleasure was “too much.” Meanwhile, half these folks are spiritually dehydrated, emotionally unavailable, and laying in beds colder than hospital pudding. Tragic. Absolutely tragic.

Real intimacy ain’t just bodies colliding.
It’s safety. Vulnerability. Trust. Energy exchange. Chemistry that doesn’t feel forced. The type of connection where you can laugh, pray, cry, flirt, and still want each other after the arguments and stress.

“Massah Said Hoodoo Was Bad… Do You Believe Them?” 🖤 Let’s speak honestly.

The systems that stripped people of language, erased names, disconnected families, outlawed literacy, demonized ancestral practices, controlled religion, and criminalized Black spirituality also taught generations to fear Hoodoo. Why? 👀 Spiritually grounded people are harder to mentally control.

Hoodoo was never just “magic.” It was: ✨ survival, ✨ protection, ✨ resistance, ✨ healing, ✨ community medicine, ✨ prayer with roots attached. Our ancestors worked with herbs, Psalms, oils, candles, spiritual baths, divination, and rootwork to survive systems designed to break them. Yet, the narrative became: “That’s evil.” Interesting.

Meanwhile, people openly manifest under moon phases, carry crystals, quote “energy,” wear evil eye jewelry, burn sage incorrectly, and practice watered-down traditions stripped from other cultures. But let Black folk speak on Hoodoo, and suddenly everybody’s clutching pearls like it’s 1693 Salem. People stay committed to selective outrage.👀

This isn’t about forcing beliefs. This is about asking WHY certain traditions were demonized. Who benefited from disconnecting people from ancestral knowledge? Who gained power when people feared their own spiritual inheritance?
