When you or a loved one needs emergency care, your closest option may be a freestanding emergency room (FSER).

An FSER provides 24/7 emergency care similar to a hospital emergency room, but it’s located separately from a hospital campus. Offering convenient access to emergency care, FSERs can help you get the care you need close to where you are. With more than 30 locations across the Greater Houston area, HCA Houston ER 24/7 provides adult and pediatric emergency care services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.

For many people with blood cancer or other serious blood disorders, a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant can offer hope — and it often starts with a donor.

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), most patients who need a transplant don’t have a fully matched donor in their family and rely on NMDP (formerly Be The Match) to help find one. NMDP ℠ is a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy that helps save the lives of patients with blood cancers and disorders.

As part of HCA Healthcare, we're proud to support this life-saving work through the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network — one of the nation's leading providers of unrelated bone marrow donor transplants in the U.S. Each year, this extensive network helps connect tens of thousands of patients with the care they need.

You could be someone’s match. Learn more and join the registry at https://bit.ly/4z5kBa5.

When Annistyn was born at 22 weeks and 2 days, weighing just 415 grams, or 14.6 ounces, she was admitted to our Level IV NICU at The Woman's Hospital of Texas, where she would spend the next 260 days receiving specialized neonatal care.

Her mom, Kelsey, remembers the neonatal nurses who stood beside their family throughout that journey. “They were there for us on our most difficult days, and they never gave up on Annistyn,” she shared.

Today, Annistyn is starting PreK3 and Kelsey, inspired by the nurses who cared for her daughter, is in nursing school with hopes of becoming a NICU nurse herself.

This , Annistyn and Kelsey’s story is a meaningful reminder of the lasting impact NICU care can have on a family. Read more: https://bit.ly/4yndytC

For years, Denise lived with pelvic floor symptoms that became increasingly disruptive to her everyday life. She didn’t realize specialized care and treatment options were available.

After being diagnosed with pelvic organ prolapse, Denise worked with our urogynecologic team to understand her options and choose a treatment plan that was right for her. Christopher Jayne, MD, FACOG, PMRS, MIGS, performed a minimally invasive procedure to address her pelvic organ prolapse and bladder support issues. Six weeks later, Denise was back to doing what she loves: traveling, hiking and spending time with family, without the symptoms that once limited her.

Today, she hopes her experience encourages other women to speak with their physician rather than assume pelvic floor discomfort is simply part of aging.

Pelvic floor disorders are common, but they don't have to limit a woman's quality of life. Denise's experience shows how specialized urogynecology care and a personalized treatment plan help patients return to activities they enjoy.
