💙 Happy (Early) Father's Day from Harvest Home! 💙

Today we celebrated all of the wonderful men in our community—not just fathers, but every gentleman who brings wisdom, strength, friendship, and laughter to our Harvest Home family. 👔🍻

Residents enjoyed delicious root beer floats 🍺🍨, music and entertainment by Loriann from Preceptor Health 🎶, and fresh brats grilled by Dan 🌭 while relaxing with non-alcoholic beer and great company. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, stories, music, and fellowship.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable for our residents!

What a beautiful morning at Harvest Home! ☀️🌳 Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying outdoor games, laughter, and friendly competition alongside our caring staff and our incredible volunteer, Michael. 🎯😊

A special thank you to Michael for his unwavering dedication, kindness, and servant's heart. ❤️ Week after week, he generously shares his time, energy, and encouragement with our residents. His presence brings smiles, joy, and meaningful connections that make a lasting impact. We are so grateful for all he does for Harvest Home and the residents we serve. 👏🙏

After the games, everyone cooled off with delicious fudge pops on the patio while soaking up the beautiful sunshine. 🍫🍦☀️ It was a morning filled with fun, friendship, and wonderful memories.

Our Grafton residents had a wonderful time celebrating Judy Garland’s birthday with a magical Wizard of Oz Party! 💚👠 From singing along to favorite songs to enjoying themed treats and festive fun, it was an afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and cherished memories. 🎶🌪️🌈

A very special THANK YOU to Anna for volunteering her time to dress up as Dorothy and beautifully sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for our residents. 🎤❤️ Your kindness, talent, and enthusiasm helped make this celebration truly unforgettable!

🌷✨ Here is a recap of all the wonderful things our Howards Grove residents did in May! ✨🌷

We had lots of joy spending time together and creating fond memories over happy hour 🍹, getting creative with crafts 🎨, putting together garden beds 🌻🌱, and so much more!

Throughout the month, our residents enjoyed opportunities to connect, laugh, learn, and celebrate life together. From friendly conversations and group activities to enjoying the beautiful spring weather ☀️, each day brought new reasons to smile. 😊💙

We are so grateful for the friendships that continue to grow within our community and for the moments that make our campus feel like home. 🏡❤️ Whether planting flowers, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, May was filled with blessings and meaningful connections.

Today at our Howards Grove Campus, our residents had a 🎲 Shut the Box tournament! It was so much fun bringing residents from each of our four buildings together to enjoy time outside and fellowship with one another. ☀️💙

There was so much laughter 😂, friendly competition 🏆, and many wonderful moments shared throughout the day. Even the rain 🌧️ couldn't stop us from having a great time! We simply moved the fun around and kept the smiles going. 😊

We also had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a cookout thanks to Mike, who grilled for everyone. 🌭🍔 Thank you, Mike, for helping make the day extra special!

Days like today remind us how important community, connection, and joy are in our lives. Watching residents encourage one another, share stories, and create new memories together was truly a blessing. ❤️

Harvest Home Assisted Living in Grafton is looking for a Few Dorothys! 🌈👠

Do you have a daughter (or are you an adult volunteer) with a Dorothy costume tucked away from Halloween? We'd love your help!

As part of our upcoming Judy Garland Birthday Celebration next Wednesday (June 10th at 1:00), we're looking for volunteers to spend about 20- 30 minutes with our memory care residents for a special meet-and-greet. ❤️

Your visit could include:
✨ Showing off your Dorothy costume
✨ Saying hello and chatting with residents
✨ Taking photos and sharing smiles
✨ Helping us bring a little Oz magic to their day

Sometimes the simplest visits create the most meaningful memories. 🌈

Music is so delightful. It has a unique way of bringing people together and lifting spirits, no matter the circumstances. Rob Peterson’s performance was a perfect example of this magic. His music not only entertained but also created a sense of community and joy among everyone present.

🌞Today our Grafton residents enjoyed a beautiful outing with Coming Full Circle Incorporated — a wonderful local nonprofit dedicated to enhancing health, well-being, and quality of life through equine-assisted learning programs. 🐴❤️

We were so grateful to experience their “Stable Moments” program, a structured therapeutic program designed for older adults experiencing dementia, memory changes, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurocognitive challenges. Through meaningful horse-related activities, sensory engagement, connection, and gentle interaction, our residents shared smiles, confidence, joy, and truly special moments together. 🌿☀️

The calming presence of the horses created moments of peace, purpose, and connection that will stay in our hearts for a long time. Thank you, Coming Full Circle, for making today so meaningful for our residents and caregivers alike. 💛

There is something so special about sunshine, fresh air, and time spent together outdoors 🌸☀️

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful day outside preparing our flower pots and garden beds for fresh blooms. From filling pots with soil and planting colorful flowers to watering and chatting together, the afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments.

Gardening is more than just planting flowers — it brings a sense of purpose, connection, and joy. It gives our residents the opportunity to reminisce on gardens they once cared for, share stories, enjoy the warmth of the sun, and take pride in helping make our community beautiful for the season ahead.

We are so thankful for these simple moments that bring everyone together and remind us that growth, beauty, and new beginnings can be found all around us. We cannot wait to watch our flowers bloom over the next few weeks and enjoy all the color they will bring to Harvest Home 🌼🪴🌸
