GO NAVY!

One of our very own recently represented Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Lejeune as part of the All Navy Volleyball team. LT Zachary Eschenberg currently serves within our Dental Clinics competed at the USA Volleyball Championships in Orlando the end of May. The team went on to place 5th out of 49 teams in their division! Opportunities like this give Navy personnel the chance not only to take part in a morale and welfare event but it also affords personnel the time to engage with the civilian community and share their Navy stories. Congrats, LT Eschenberg! 🏐 ⚓️

On this day in history, Lieutenant Junior Grade Weedon E. Osborne gave his life to protect wounded servicemembers during the World War I at the Battle of Belleau Wood, France. Osborne is one of only three military dentists to receive the Medal of Honor for extraordinary heroism.

Today, the Weedon E. Osborne Dental Clinic provides essential dental care to thousands of Marines and Sailors stationed at Camp Lejeune, carrying on Osborne’s legacy.

The time to prepare for is now!
Take a look at this important information from Camp Lejeune.🌀

Hurricane Season begins Today 🌀
The Atlantic Hurricane Season runs annually from June 1 to November 30. While National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts below-normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic basin this year, it only takes one storm to cause significant damage to your home and property. Eastern North Carolina typically sees an increase in storms later in the summer, but now is the time to prepare. For information on how to prepare and what to pack in your emergency kit, visit the following resources:

The MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River areas will be in Topical Cyclone Condition V (TCC V) until November 30 which indicates the potential for the occurrence of destructive weather is elevated, but no specific system threatens the area.
