Meet Andrew Smith, PA-C 🩺

Andrew brings 10 years of experience to Hudson Physicians Urgent Care in Hudson and Stillwater, where every patient visit is an opportunity to look deeper and ask the right questions.

What drew him to Urgent Care? The variety, the fast pace, and the chance to solve problems efficiently while staying thorough.

One moment early in his career shaped how he approaches care: A patient came in thinking he had an insect bite. After asking more questions and digging deeper, Andrew discovered the patient was actually having a heart attack. That experience reinforced what he carries into every visit: keep a broad perspective, ask deeper questions, and never assume the obvious answer is the only answer.

Andrew chose Hudson Physicians because this community is home. When he's not at the clinic, you'll find him drumming in a rock band, running, hiking, or biking with his young family.

Employee Appreciation Week continues to bring out the creativity across our clinics!

Yesterday’s “Dress Like a Doctor Day” delivered some strong performances, including a tennis player-inspired Dr. Stoy appearance, and a “biking with his best friend” look-alike. Team 7 showed up in full force with the classic Dr. Susa-inspired outfit.

Today is Western Wednesday, so don’t be surprised if you walk into the clinic and see a few partners and team members ready to saddle up for the day. We also have the Bueno Street Kitchen food truck onsite in Hudson as the week’s festivities continue!

Last Friday, our New Richmond clinic was honored to welcome Senator Rob Stafsholt alongside representatives from Reach Out and Read to highlight the importance of children’s literacy initiatives that support local families through community partnerships.

Through our partnership with Reach Out and Read, children attending well-child visits receive a “prescription to read,” which can be redeemed at the New Richmond Community Library for a book of their very own to keep. Encouraging reading at an early age plays an important role in childhood development, and our providers support this initiative through adolescent and pediatric care and by providing “prescriptions to read” during visits.

We extend our sincere thanks to Senator Rob Stafsholt for spending the morning touring the clinic and taking time to read at children’s story time at the library. We also thank the teams at the New Richmond Community Library and Reach Out and Read for their continued partnership and shared commitment to supporting literacy, cognitive growth, and access to books within our communities.

Employee Appreciation Week at Hudson Physicians is officially underway!

We kicked off the week with our Sports Medicine team attending the Minnesota Twins vs. Milwaukee Brewers game, while Monday’s clinic festivities featured both Decades Day and . This morning, is onsite serving breakfast despite the morning drizzle!

Throughout the week, our team will also be joining in on the daily themes including Dress Like a Doctor Day, Western Wednesday, Tropical Thursday, and Favorite Fit Friday.

We are incredibly thankful for our amazing team and all they do each day for our patients and communities. Happy Employee Appreciation Week!
