Mary Carmella Allen

Mary C. (Sauta) Allen, 89, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on May 19, 2026.

Born on September 12, 1936, Mary was the daughter of the late Mary and Vincenzo J. Sauta. She grew up rooted in the Sauta family farm in Hudson, where some of her earliest and fondest memories were shaped by the corn fields, animals, and the constant presence of family and life all around her. She often reminisced about the large Sunday pasta dinners on the farm, where sauce simmered for hours, fresh parmesan covered the table, and generations of family crowded together sharing food, stories, laughter, and time with one another. Surrounded by the warmth of family, homemade meals, and the rhythms of farm life, those memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Kenneth Allen, Kim Pugh and her husband Gary Pugh, and Keith Allen and his wife Karen; along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored and loved to spoil endlessly. She is also survived by her brother Charles (“Charlie”) Sauta and his wife Jean, her sister Connie Coffin, sisters-in-law Lillian Sauta and Betty Sauta, and brother-in-law Dick Henderson. Mary was predeceased by her siblings John Sauta, James Sauta, Theresa Henderson, and Richard (“Richie”) Sauta; her sister-in-law Elaine Sauta; and many beloved family members who were deeply important to her throughout her life.

Mary was spirited, independent, thoughtful, and deeply memorable to those who knew her. She was known for being ahead of her time, steadfast in her beliefs, and unafraid to live life on her own terms. She loved meaningful conversations, especially surrounding spirituality and meditation, and had a natural curiosity about life and the world around her.

Music was always part of Mary’s life. She loved classical music and was equally known for turning up Tom Jones, whose songs never failed to make her smile. Some of her happiest moments were spent vacationing on Cape Cod with family. She loved collecting shells and sea glass along the beach, often filling glass jars throughout her home with small treasures that reminded her of the ocean and peaceful moments spent by the water. She also had a lifelong love for dogs, especially her beloved Chloe, who remained faithfully by her side.

To many, Mary was the “cool mom” — warm, welcoming, adventurous, and full of personality. Her family and friends will remember her for her strength, compassion, individuality, and the deep love she gave so freely to those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Mary’s memory to Sweet Paws Rescue, honoring the lifelong comfort, companionship, and joy that dogs brought to her life; https://www.sweetpawsrescue.org/donate.

Richard A. Constantine Sr.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Richard A. Constantine, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2026, after a long, courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Dick was a lifelong resident of Hudson, Massachusetts, where he was born and raised on February 26, 1960. His dedication to his hometown was evident through his long career with the Department of Public Works in Hudson. After 36 years of service, he retired in 2021 to spend more time with his family. Following his retirement, Dick continued to contribute to his community by working as a delivery driver for the Longden Company in Hudson until February of this year.

A testament to his selflessness and devotion was his unwavering commitment to his wife, Darcia, whom he cared for tirelessly throughout the 17 years of her declining health. He never left her side. He was the “World’s Best Grandfather.” Nothing brought him more joy than being there for his grandchildren. From countless rides to softball games and hockey practices to cheering from the stands and spoiling them rotten, he loved every moment. He became a part of each team and was loved by everyone who knew him.

Aside from his family, Dick loved spending time with his friends. Whether he was traveling to Patriots games, going to concerts, or simply enjoying life and making memories with the people he cared about, he truly cherished those moments.

He is survived by his sons, Richard A. Constantine Jr. and his wife, Adrienne, of Hudson, and Michael Constantine and his wife, Alicia, of Sterling. Dick’s most treasured people in life, his grandchildren—Avery, Reilly, Calley, Michael, and Andrew Constantine—carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Suprenault and his wife, Dolly, of Virginia; his sister, Nancy Courtemanche, of Marlborough; his brother, Harold Constantine Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Sterling; and family friend Justin Veo and his wife, Stacy, of Leominster, who was like a son to Dick. He was cherished by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends as well.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darcia A. (Lazaros) Constantine, who passed away in 2022; his father, Harold A. Constantine Sr.; his mother, Marion (Willey) Constantine; and his siblings Raymond Suprenault, Lillian Draper, Hazel Dixon, William Suprenault, Brenda Graham, Betty Veo, and Thomas Constantine.

Dick lived a life defined by selflessness, always placing the needs, happiness, and well-being of others before his own, especially when it came to his beloved grandchildren and family, whom he loved with unwavering devotion, quiet sacrifice, and a heart that never hesitated to give, even when he had little left for himself.

His absence leaves a space in our hearts that can never truly be filled, and life will never feel the same without him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his grandchildren, who were the center of his world. Though he is no longer with us, his love, strength, and memory will live on forever in the hearts of those he touched.
