Panic, overwhelming emotions, and cravings often feel like they come out of nowhere. In reality, they create very real physical reactions in the body that can make it harder to think clearly and stay focused on recovery.

That's where the DBT skill TIPP can help.

TIPP stands for Temperature, Intense Exercise, Paced Breathing, and Progressive Relaxation—simple techniques that help calm your nervous system and reduce emotional intensity in the moment.

When cravings hit or anxiety starts to take over, these skills can help you pause, regain control, and make decisions that support your recovery instead of reacting on impulse.

Recovery isn't about never feeling stressed, triggered, or overwhelmed. It's about having the tools to navigate those moments when they happen.

If you're looking for support, structure, and practical skills to help you build a stronger recovery, Heartfelt Recovery Centers is here to help.

Father's Day can bring up a lot of emotions.

For some, it's a day of celebration. For others, it's a reminder of relationships strained by addiction, missed moments, or time that can never be recovered.

At Heartfelt Recovery Centers, we've seen firsthand that recovery doesn't just change one life—it impacts entire families.

We've watched fathers rebuild trust with their children, reconnect with loved ones, and become present in ways they never thought possible. Recovery doesn't erase the past, but it creates the opportunity to write a different future.

Today, we celebrate the fathers who are showing up, doing the work, and choosing recovery one day at a time.

And for those who are struggling, know this: it's never too late to take the first step.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, father figures, and men in recovery working to build healthier lives for themselves and their families. 💙

Not every recovery program is the right fit for every person—and that's okay.

Telehealth Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) can provide flexible, effective treatment for individuals who are medically stable, motivated for recovery, and have a safe, supportive environment at home. For others, a higher level of care may be the safest and most effective option.

The goal isn't finding the most convenient treatment. It's finding the right treatment.

In this carousel, we're breaking down:
✔ Who Telehealth IOP may be a good fit for
✔ When a higher level of care may be needed
✔ What Telehealth IOP sessions actually look like

Recovery isn't one-size-fits-all. The right care is the care that keeps you safe, supported, and moving forward.

If you're unsure what level of care is right for you or a loved one, our team is here to help.

Relapse rarely happens all at once.

For many people, there are warning signs that begin to show up days, weeks, or even months beforehand. Changes in sleep, isolation, skipping meetings or therapy sessions, increased secrecy, irritability, or thinking more positively about past substance use can all be signs that additional support may be needed.

Recognizing these signs isn't about judgment—it's about awareness.

If you're noticing some of these patterns in yourself or someone you care about, don't wait for things to get worse before reaching out. Early support can make a meaningful difference.

At Heartfelt Recovery Centers, we provide compassionate, individualized care through PHP, IOP, OP, and dual diagnosis treatment programs designed to help people build and maintain lasting recovery.

Recovery is possible. You do not have to face it alone.

Dual diagnosis means more than addiction.

Many people struggling with substance use are also dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, panic symptoms, or other mental health challenges. When only one part of the problem is treated, the cycle often continues.

Mental health symptoms can increase substance use. Substance use may provide temporary relief. Then the symptoms return—and often become even more difficult to manage.

That's why integrated treatment matters.

At Heartfelt Recovery Centers, we provide dual diagnosis care that addresses both substance use and mental health concerns at the same time. Through PHP, IOP, OP, therapy, medication-assisted treatment (when appropriate), and individualized treatment planning, we help clients build a foundation for lasting recovery.

Healing starts when both are treated.
