Celebrate Recovery at First Baptist Church Huffman is looking for a couple with a heart for children to lead our Celebration Place ministry (Grades K–5).
Celebration Place is more than a children’s program. It’s a safe, Christ-centered place where children learn about God’s love, discover healthy ways to handle their emotions, and begin healing from life’s hurts.
Many of these children are growing up in homes affected by addiction, broken relationships, and other difficult circumstances. Some may have never experienced what a healthy, loving, Christ-centered marriage looks like.
Imagine the impact a husband and wife could make simply by showing up together, week after week.
By serving as a couple, you have an opportunity to model God’s design for marriage and family through kindness, patience, respect, teamwork, and unconditional love.
But your ministry doesn’t stop with the children.
Every Tuesday evening, while you’re pouring into those little hearts, you’re also giving their parents something incredibly valuable: the opportunity to heal.
Because you’re there, a mother can attend worship without worrying about her children. A father can sit in an Open Share Group and begin working through years of hurt. Parents can draw closer to God, strengthen their recovery, and begin breaking cycles that have affected their families for generations.
You may never know how many lives are changed because you said YES.
And you don’t have to be a teacher or have ministry experience!
We provide:

* Planned activities and supplies
* Training and ongoing support
* A ministry team ready to help you succeed
All we ask is that you bring a heart for Jesus, a love for children, and a willingness to serve.
For the safety and protection of our children, First Baptist Church Huffman requires background checks for everyone serving in children’s ministry.
Whether you’re newly married, raising children of your own, empty nesters, or enjoying retirement, your marriage and life experiences could be a beautiful example of God’s love to children who desperately need it.
Our Celebration Place program is temporarily suspended while we seek new leadership, and our prayer is to reopen it as soon as possible.
